That is definitely weird! The only thing that made me think something was off in the Murray family was Josh no longer following his brother and Kacie, and now his mom. Aaron still follows Josh and Hy (but not Andi!) Steph and MM follow everyone. But it was just a few weeks ago that Andi and Josh were at the UGA vs. Troy game with everyone and things seemed fine. He and Andi also must have visited one of MM's best friends the following weekend at a UGA tailgate (the one they took Patty and Hy to) because that friend posted a photo of them with Andi and Josh and made a very nice comment about how Josh is such an inspiration to all in the way he loves his family and friends and now Andi. Josh replied to that FB post with "love you guys"! Doesn't sound like there are any bad feelings there as of two weeks ago. I just wonder when he stopped following his mom. That would be more telling.
Also, it wouldn't be crazy to think that Josh pickedd up the phone last night to personally congratulate his brother. I would bet on it. Josh isn't one to post everything on SM when it comes to his family. Aaron never gave a shout out to Andi and Josh on SM after the finale aired either, but I'm sure he congratulated them privately. To me the SM congrats are very superficial unless it's from people that you don't know personally or have regular contact with via text etc. Even though a part of me still thinks something is off with Josh and Aaron and kacie, it may not be that big of a deal, and I really hope they are mature about working through it for the sake of everyones' happiness. If you can't beat em', join them. That should be Kacie and Andi's motto. They would be one powerful set of sisters (along with Steph) if they put any jealousies aside and were a united front. Talk about a power family!

Let me say, I don't see Andi and Josh making as much of an effort to spend time with the Murrays. During the summer alone Kacie went to visit everyone in FL. I think she may have gone twice, but I am sure of at least once. Kacie moved away from her family to be with Aaron and Kacie and Aaron hosted MM in KC recently.
I know Josh and Andi went with the Murrays to the preseason game in Charlotte, but I haven't seen Josh and Andi making huge efforts to reach out and spend time with the Murray parents.
Even going to Music Midtown when they came up to the UGA game. It is a big fun concert, yes I know for a fact, since I lived in Atlanta and went to Music Midtown twice. But it is nothing that can't be missed to spent time with your new future in-laws.
Maybe the reason there is some tension is that Josh is very distinctly spending less time with his family and more with Andi. That will take adjusting to for all of them.
But I will say, I think that it is more the child's responsibility to reach out to their future in laws than the parents responsibility. I did this myself with both my sets of in-laws and noticed a huge difference between husband number one who never reached out to my family and husband number two who has been open and giving to my family since day one.

Good Points, StuckinSC! A perspective many of us didn't consider. I kept expecting to see Josh and Andi head to KC for a weekend just to visit, but it hasn't happened. The Murrays have flown out to KC twice in the last month, and haven't gone to Atlanta at all except after the finale when MM took Stephanie back to UGA and met with Hy and Patti. They also seemed to have spent Labor Day with the Dorfmans at their lake, and possibly July 4th too. Maybe Josh is trying to cut the cord somewhat. I know that many of their weekends have been occupied with events, so that could be part of it. But I guess it would be nice to see Josh and Andi make more of an effort with his family too. It still doesn't make sense for him to de-friend his mom and Aaron on SM though.

Yeah, I can't imagine Josh would ever have wanted this to happen, he must be really upset and stressed over this whole thing right now.bleuberry wrote:I see that Aaron tweeted photos of the proposal captured by a photographer. I kind of feel bad that Josh wasn't there, no matter the family drama or who's side is at fault or causing drama.
I noticed Patti started to follow Kacie too, I don't think she realizes that follows aren't private I find it kind of sweet that Andi must have shared all this drama with her mom and she went to go investigate.

2 couples are engaged in one family. That's a blessing.

Great post Kasha!! Amen.
I don't see a problem and seems like some.... and it is their right.... are trying to create a problem were there is none. If, and that is a big if, we see there is a problem for real, we can discuss it then.

One couple is quite a bit older than the other.
Let them each enjoy their own time. When they are together for family things, fine, hopefully all will have a good time with the others.
Some families don't need to be with each other constantly--or hardly ever, if that's what it takes to get along.
