This is -- though stated as fact around here and on Twitter -- actually a garbling and distortion of what's she said.  She is saying all day, over and over, and on the show, and last night as well that her feelings for Nick were strong and real as portrayed on the show, and it wasn't until the last day she decided on Josh.  Not sure where you're getting your quotes.

Someone took Andi's comment and distorted it and now everyone is running with it.  She said something to effect of she finally knew that the feeling she had about Josh from the beginning was love.  In other words, she felt something for Josh from day 1 but only at the end did she finally know it really was love.

Andi Dorfman: In hindsight, it was love at first sight. In the moment, I just had this feeling. It really took every rose ceremony and every date to put my finger on what I was feeling. At the proposal. I didn’t know until the very end it was love. It was love the whole time.

All I can say is MeandI is damn lucky Nick's video was what it was vs what it could have been.   
He could have gone on in great detail about a lot of things that happened in that FS with whoever he was speaking with--after all he was unaware he was being recorded.
Maybe MeandI should call it a day and move on.

TPTB knew Nick was coming - why wouldn't they prepare Andi? It shouldn't have been a surprise.

Sarah, thanks for quoting Andi's comment. Hopefully we can stop debating whether she claimed to know all along she was in love with Josh- she didn't. And no evidence that she slept with Nick even though she already decided to choose Josh either. If we're lambasting everybody who has sex with people they don't love, it's a looong list. However, if Nick told her flat out that she shouldn't have sex with him unless she was in love with him, then she SHOULD be lambasted IMO.

She has done that all day long to my ears. Every reporter is going to ask. And it was a completely class-less move on Nick's part for a live TV show, which comment in any event her boyfriend said in her defense not her. He has to say something strong to ward it off. "Leave it; move on. Here's your quote." It's the best PR strategy to make Nick a One-Day story, and let the future stories be about the couple, not the FS sex or not. He just says, we're honest, it's our business, Nick sucks for "going there."

To the bolded, more like they staged his coming to LA that weekend. The whole thing was a farce. People can blame Nick all they want and despite Nick taking ownership for everything he said last night, I will continue to stand by the fact that TPTB had their hand in all of this. For pete's sakes, they went all the way to Milwaukee to film him and his family. If they wanted that AFTR to be normal, they would have devoted only 5 mins to Nick's segment like they have done historically. They created the farce, pushed a broken man too far and a little bit of empathy from Andi would have salvaged the day IMO. Even Jason Meisnick said the producers knew what was going to happen last night Chris Harrison himself tweeted before the show that the AFTR will be dramatic so all parties were guilty for what happened last night IMO.

Agree & filming his mother that was just not necessary !! ESP since he knew going in he might not get picked!
He thought all along he was the better match for her & all the guys could see it ! but Andi knew her best match was Josh!!

Andi could have been generous, she was in the position to be generous ~ she was happy, in love, and looking forward to getting engaged.  Instead of being generous to Nick by saying how hard it was to let him go, she somewhat berated him for being over analytical when all she wanted was to have fun.  

Again, at the ATFR, instead of telling him it was hard to let him go and wishes him well, she declares she never loved him.  Hence, Nick's questioning of her actions.  

exactly! there was a TON of leg room for Andi to be kind and generous- the ONLY one she took and she wanted to be congratulated for was not letting him propose... she even expected to be congratulated for making him fall in love. ridiculous! She had no right to be angry or mad at nick for reaching out to her...she acted exactly as she did when she broke up with chris when she threw a tantrum like she doesn't want to do this!!!! her exact attitude during the chris breakup was there in her attitude - shortness, rudeness, coldness and irritability when breaking up with Nick the first time and during the AFTR...this is incredibly unattractive...like a spoilt little brat who gets angry at people for the hard decision they're about to make

Whether the anger is being expressed at Andi for being cold or Nick for mentioning the unmentionable, the truth is this: TPTB have psychologists on staff who consult. They know which buttons to push and how to manipulate. The AFTR was designed to have this outcome. If you pour enough lighter fluid on tinder, sooner or later a spark is going to set it off.

I can wish that Andi was more compassionate or that Nick was more discrete but TPTB set the table for the banquet that was served and we all saddled up to the table.

Yep exactly. I truly believe that was why Nick wanted to talk to her privately. It would be realllly reallly crappy if TPTB advised Andi against this, just to get what they wanted on the ATFR.

i think no matter when andi and nick would have talked it would have been on camera. tptb wanted the drama and made sure they got it. i wonder if nick really was pining over andi for months. i think tptb told him to contact her after the plane vid–because it really did take on a life of its own and become a part of the storyline–but i am not convinced they told him what to say. i would think only andi and nick knew what happened in the FS. jmo.

eta: i wrote this post earlier but didn't actually post it. just now i read an interview with nick, which i put in the media thread, where he says what he said about them sleeping together was not the producers idea at all.

I believe his comment came out in the heat of the moment as Andi was claiming that she never loved him and never said she loved him. I think her actions said to him that she did. She knew what the act meant to him, for her to still have sex with him if she didn't love him back is not all the great in my opinion. I don't think a man would get a pass on having sex with a woman who had told him she loved him and wanted to marry him when he didn't feel at least love for her.

I really wish it hadn't come out, but Andi with a little compassion and a little less ice could have avoided it. As someone said but meant it toward Nick, Andi reaped what she sowed.
