All of this speculation about whether or not Nick is bitter (again, we do not know for sure) makes me wonder if there was some grain of truth to that US article that said he had gone through all the stages of grief over the relationship and now was bitter.

Funny you should mention that because I was reviewing what was written in the US Weekly article last night. It's common for the show to release some "inside information" at the end of the season to a select few tabloids so that they can write articles to highlight the drama that will unfold at the end of the season; anticipation of impending drama gets viewers to tune in to see it. If a tabloid would be consistently way off base they would lose readers and thus usefulness to the show so the show will make sure they are mostly right by giving them inside information. This season I believe the show picked US Weekly to supply information to for an article.

That article specifically said:

"When Dorfman heard her also-ran wanted to meet up she made it very clear that she didn't want to see him"
...

Rebuffed for the second time, he transformed from heart-broken dumpee to bitter ex. "It's been incredibly hard for him. He really thought she was going to pick him" says the insider. "He's almost gone through the stages of grief: believing that she was going to come to her senses then, and now just feeling really angry and upset."

The first statement was I believe confirmed after the finale aired with Andi taking the position that they would meet on the ATFR anyway. And (of course) had they actually met beforehand it would have been filmed (too good to pass up) and would have been aired anyway; a private / off camera meeting was impossible.

Parts of the second statement are, IMHO, very plausible. It's consistent with the plane video (alluding to a Mesnick potential) and also what that same article said about a change of heart and decision similar to what (appeared to have) happened on Jason's season.

Leaving us only to speculate on the "bitter ex" comment and the "just feeling really angry and upset" comment as to whether this article was accurate about that or not. If accurate, then Nick was a bitter ex, angry and hurt before he ever set foot on the ATFR stage (because this article was in print and on newsstands and first commented on here on July 18; well before the live ATFR aired).

To some I suppose this doesn't make any difference and to others it might be a significant difference.

I still say that her treatment of him during and after the breakup went a long way in influencing what went down in the ATFR but that all I will say at risk of

Funny how Nick is showing parts of his personality now that Andi is seeing as "polarizing" and she now knows there is no way they ever would have worked out as a couple.  He made it easy for her to "sail that ship" and close the lid throw away the key on any regrets what so ever.   IMO  as always.   

Somewhat surprisingly the lead never gets to see parts of the show (ITM's for example) that they didn't see during filming, so the final airing is the first time they get to see those parts, and it does change their views in many cases. I suspect that Andi saw this polarization unfold as she watched the show in addition to everything that's happened on the ATFR and everything that's followed that. Nick is, to say the least, a polarizing character - not only as he was edited during the season but in how he's carried himself over the past week or so. Perhaps Andi's comment to the effect that she is not so attracted to guys that other guys don't like was left in the edit for a good reason.

I posted in the unspoiled thread before the Finale (even before the infamous SlutShaming moment) wherein I transcribed the convo of Andi and Nick in Episode 6 re: Cody situation and if he thinks he is the front runner. I said when Andi watches Episode 7, I'm almost certain that she will see Nick differently. Nick downplayed his "confidence" to Andi when she asked if he thinks he is the front runner. In contrast to his ITMs in Episode 7 where he was smug and cocky about him being the front runner.

That is even before the AFTR!

Now after the momentous AFTR,

imo? I am almost certain that Andi wouldn't even regret about letting go of Nick. Not even an iota. If others are still hoping that a day will come that Andi will look back and regret her decision to let go of Nick. Na ah!  

Andi would not even have Should Haves nor What Ifs with Nick.

With regards to Nick, Andi would not have a What IF cross her mind but more of a.....

I am sure Nick feels the same way about Andi after watching her behavior this season and how she has acted post-season - even before the infamous ATFR.  Everything worked out for the best.

 You can't know how much I now regret having not spent much time in the unspoiled forum; look at all that I missed!

That said I think it's a very safe assumption when I say (to borrow Jason's phrase) that both Andi and Nick were "produced".

Chasing ... My issue is the assumption that Nick is following this guy because "he liked those tweets." We have no idea why Nick  is following him beyond the fact that the guy tagged Nick in a few tweets. Maybe he is curious why some random guy from Atlanta is being so nasty to the Murray's. Sure it is common sense that those tweets are what clued Nick in to this guy's existence as they don't even live in same region of country.

If Nick favorited the guys tweets, I would think that's being a jerk. Simply following the guy does not mean he is giving his stamp of approval but in fact could be just monitoring.

Ah, gotcha. I guess that is plausible, but it just seems like a stretch to me. There have been SO many negative tweets sent to Josh/Andi about Andi being a sl*t or Josh getting Nick's sloppy seconds. All of the contestants get really nasty tweets from people who obviously have issues. Why choose to "monitor" this person? And, what could Nick even do to monitor the situation? He could report the user to Twitter, but he wouldn't need to follow him to do that.  

Like I said before, Nick got "caught" favoriting the Josh getting raped tweet. Therefore, I don't think that he would favorite anything controversial anymore, because he knows that people look at his favorites. I don't think that he realizes that people also look at who he follows.

Just my opinion! Not trying to change opinions, just explaining my thoughts.

The Josh rape tweet was not just about Josh, it was about Josh, Andi and Nick. It made fun of all three. Was it in poor taste to favorite it? Yes, but was the part about Nick funny? Yup it was. Nick is not tweeting nasty things about Josh and Andi.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter.

I enjoy Nick's sarcastic wit. If people don't they don't have to read his twitter. The best way to combat someone you don't like is ignore them. It is usually attention they seek and if you are tweeting it is definitely attention you seek. Deprive them of that attention and you hurt them the best way possible. By talking about them, you increase what they want, attention.

Ok, playing devil advocate here if Josh or Andi would have followed some random person who is constantly trashing Nick, (I repeat random person) you guys wouldn't side eye them? To me it screams immaturity by Nick following that person it's encouraging trash and hate, but this is only my opinion..

I honestly wouldn't care.  It is over and they can chose to still dislike Nick if they want.  I hope they are ignoring him and focusing on each other.  Also, from what I finally read of the guys twitter feed, he had two or three posts on Josh and Andi, the rest were all about Atlanta sports people.  He seems like a mean spirited POS, but not necessarily obsessed with Josh and Andi, just annoyed with them like he is annoyed with everyone else in the world.

In my opinion, therein lies the rub as I see a very fine line between the two and one that is often blurred.  

Doc, the tone of Nick's tweets last night were not nearly as awful as Kelly Travis's. His were very similar in tone to what Sean was doing during the bachelorette that most found funny.

Plus, I am sorry, I spent the night making almost those same comments on the BiP episode thread. Am I am bad person?

I don't hate on Marcus, and he has every right to say how he feels about Nick. I just find the above comment ironic.

You hit the nail on the head.  Nick has every right to say his opinion.  But...... Marcus has every right to state his opinion or REACT to someone else's.  

There is obviously bad blood and no love lost between these two.  Dylan and Marquel are still on the show.  Will be interesting to see if Nick is an "equal opportunity snarker."  LOL

He showed love for Marquel and Dylan, but if you watched the show, they weren't talking about their feelings for Elise or MM. Marcus was shown kissing Sarah and talking about Lacy a lot. Nick made fun of most of the things that I made fun of myself in the episode thread.

Thank you. Everytime I post anything in the Josh and Andi discussion thread, there is tons of defending of the couple. I try not to say anything too nasty and the defenders come out in droves. If it works for one thread it should work for all.

^^  Why scour message boards, read print media and watch interviews for information on what a person you dislike is doing?  Unless it is to have an opportunity to express righteous indignation over what the person is doing in their life.  Nah, that's too much negative energy for me.
