Bachelorette 10: Edit-Storyline - *SPOILERS* - should we bother? Oooohhhh... why not? part 2

*** I completely understand getting upset when someone says things about your favorite but it's not okay to criticize them for it. Cast members are fair game on this board but members aren't. My suggestion is to skip those posts. We still have a few more weeks so it would be nice to keep this a friendly place.   :Nod:

I would be more than thrilled if a guy would pursue me with such a persistence and dedication, honesty (because to me he is being honest), desire to get to know me better, to see me as much as possible, wanting to kiss me, touch me, ...
of course, if I would like the guy myselfand I don't think Andi is opposed to his advances, actually she pretty much encourages him with her actions and words (giving him roses and talking how much they click). So I don't see a problem.

Now I see that most people prefer the gorgeous, young and sexy Josh, with the chemistry over the roof, but I wonder are all Nick's actions/words so horrible to justify all the backlash he is getting, all the creepy names that people call him?
I wish I could say that those people writing such an awful assertion are just the teenagers who haven't experienced all the love in the world ... but we know better that that's not the case.

I see Josh pursuing her the same way as you say Nick is. Josh just isn't pissing off the rest of the guys while he's doing it. He's not bragging, or being pushy or strategizing.

Yeah, the internet is a cesspool. It breeds hate and judgements. Unless you have a thick skin it's probably best to stay off of it. Especially twitter.

it's also really helpful to use the foe list–look under your profiles for it–for posters whose comments are overly negative or bothering you. that's what i do and i didn't even realized a bunch of threads were being cleaned up by the mods.

The average viewers are also likely to believe the editing which isn't good for Nick. They don't likely know that he's now friends with some of the guys complaining about him on the show. So what I don't know is whether he's getting a negative edit to make people happy that Josh is the f1 in comparison or is it they're trying to fool viewers into thinking Nick can't (or better not) be the f1?  

I think he's getting a negative edit because he was a negative in the house for some of the guys. I don't think the guys are lying about Nick. They don't need to edit Nick negatively to make Josh more palatable to the audience. They have plenty of viewers backing them.

I think the average viewer doesnt like Nick- but if you like Nick and follow him on SM, you would know he's friends with all of them now. I watch AfterBuzz TV and I know Cathy Kelly hates Nick, but Danny pointed out that all the guys are friends with Nick on twitter, instagram, etc. Cathy admitted that she didnt know any of that stuff because she doesn't follow them on twitter and that only as a viewer, he's getting a bad edit. I think that Nick still friends with the guys of the house is why I don't really see Nick as a bad guy because whatever is said then is now squashed.

I'm loving the Cathy vs Danny Nick debates.  I love them both already and they (plus JC) make such a great, insightful yet funny panel.  I think I'm having a strange afterbuzz shipping situation with them.     Their banter is adorable.

I found it funny that Molly bought into the negative edit when she knows how the producers work on getting the answers they want. Sharleen's blog highlights some of the tricks which is why I enjoy it so much. I'm sure it was easy to get the guys riled up about him and even that conversation with Brian we don't see him comment much to Nick but he's negative in the PIs. It makes it appear he's saying things to Nick when he's filming the PI after the fact. This was a deleted scene so not sure how many people will actually see it.

I think the other thing to remember is that the guys aren't just friends with Nick after the fact. They seem to have been friends with him while filming the show also and some have posted pics of them having fun on location.

Yes, even during what Nick described was his tongue lashing, he told the other guys that while they were all good friends, they were different people.

When I'm able to watch the show "live", it is with various friends that only watch for entertainment.  They don't twitter/FB stalk or even read fan sites or RS.  At most, they may hear a blurb on the radio or on the news about a contestant that lives in the surrounding area.  I like to hear their unspoiled opinions.  The ladies always pick a F1 for their own and one for the Bachelorette; it's usually not the same contestant. 

They don't view the edits of the F2 the same way most of us on this board do.  They all think that Josh is hot, both in physical appearance and temper.  All feel he knows how to "play the bro game" with the others without pi**ing them off while going after Andi because of his years in the locker room and think he encourages the animosity the others feel towards Nick - his only real competition.  They think Josh being on the show is a complete set-up and say it's like "Shayne and the English guy".  All expect Andi will pick him.

The ladies aren't as physically attracted to Nick, but think he's intelligent and witty.  They view him as a smart a** that is looking to level the playing field with the big handsome jock.  They don't buy the edit of him being there for the wrong reasons.  None of them know about the infamous plane video rant.

All of these ladies liked Andi on JPG's show until her fake blowup with him.  They all said she just wanted to be the Bachelorette.  They all supported Clare twisting off on him, so go figure.

Forgot to mention:  two want Marcus and the rest are split between Josh and Nick.  No takers for the farmer.

I love them too- its not all one sided. and the fact that they both have strong opinions, but differing opinions are the reason why i love watching their after show.
