True:
- setting it up would be huge, and to my mind would be detrimental to the show.... i.e if a leading (F1) contestant is willing to fake that much, it says a lot about the show (I know! We all know its not real... but would this not explode a lot more out to the general public?)
- Some think Nick sounded really upset and bitter, as per F2
- If it was fake, would they not have him even more upset (some have commented he sounds calm...) and the content even more damning... "I love her so much, I cant believe she is lost to me...")
- Obviously started mid-convo, i.e. we dont here the bits that made the recorder pick up their phone and press the red button!


Fake:
- the extent to which Fleiss would go to "get" RS is yet unknown...
- Some think Nick just doesnt sound upset enough.... (eyes... beholder...)
- Started mid-convo... i.e. to make it look real rather than a set-up (Trust me, if it is a set-up, they would have thought of everything!)


To me, I am still going for true... I do think Nick just isnt upset enough in words nor tone... but from what I have seeen on-screen, even when he is pissed off or excited, his demeanour and tone remain flat...

i think how the video was obtained is an interesting question:

-did RS pay someone to follow the contestants back from DR and that is how he got the video?
-is it from some random fan? chances of that seem highly unlikely to me.
-or, is it a foiler?

do you guys remember the really blurry photos RS had of courtney being the F1 on ben's season? i got the impression he hired or payed someone off for those shots which were taken very much from a distance from that FRC. i would not put it past RS hiring someone to stalk the show. shoot, he stalked marcus' HTD himself.

You know me, I will choose option 3. There just seems to be something about that video that doesn't seem to ring true to me

I don't think RS is going to shell out for 3 plane tickets on the off chance that someone will spill the beans.

I do think it's from a random fan who had enough Bachelor knowledge to know what Nick was talking about and was at least aware of RS. There's a lot of people who watch TB and IMO it was only a matter of time before something like this happened.

I also believe that Nick's fall from unassuming gentleman to #TrickyNicky is the direct result of his disregard for his contract and the presence of that video tape.

I don't believe a foiler leaked by TPTB would have a Josh bash video attached to it.

Totally hilarious on Nick's evolution (devolution?) from "unassuming gentleman" to hashtag(!!) TrickyNicky   It is so, so ridiculous and comical, I cannot even take it seriously from tptb. Is the idea for us to now start worrying she's going to end up with the house stalker, creepypasta visitor, or what? Too funny.

This season makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Post-show videos are too peculiar... as well as the way everybody behaves on screen.

Brian writes a letter to Andi that is too bizarre for words: "I hate the way my knees weaken every time I see you. I hate how scared I am that I’m falling for you so quickly. And I hate how I don’t hate any of those feelings."

Nick's poem was even odder: "Andi. When I see you, I smile. When I see you, I blush. When I see you, I get nervous. When I see you, my chest bursts with excitement. When I see you, I see beauty. When I see you, I see strength. When I see you, I see purpose. When I see you, I see a future. Nick."

While Nick is sucking face with Andi, Dylan voice-overs that he will be going home if he "feels that way". Huh?

On a less "weird" note:

Josh discusses heartbreak with her, but I am clueless as to whether she is concerned he will heartbreak her or he will be heartbroken.

Andi: There’s a part of me, like, that saw potential heartbreak.
Josh: That’s not gonna happen at all. Not with ME.
Andi: I’m just sayin’… there’s a part of me that was, like, THIS could end up in heartbreak
Josh: No. Not at all. Not with ME.
Andi: Why not with YOU?
Josh: Because it is not gonna happen with ME. It is just not it… and I tried telling you that last time. I guess it didn’t come out how I wanted to say.

Two episodes earlier, another heartbreak discussion... and Josh is talking much faster (and that is how I humorously transcribed him):

Andi: Tell… me… your… fears.
Josh: I'm-skeerd. I-mean-I-haven't-had-a-relationship-in-over-five-years. I'm-skeerd, like, if I fall in love then (she strokes her hair listening) that person doesn’t feel the same. That'sKindaSceerySometimesWhenYouThinkAboutThat.
Andi: Hm-mmm. Has… that… ever… happened… to… you?
Josh: No. I’veNeverHadMahHeartBroken.
Andi (slightly grinning): You… think… you… are more scared of hurting somebody or… more scared of getting hurt?

Josh: Definitely…
Andi: I’m terrified of getting hurt.

So... Josh's biggest "fear to overcome" is not "leap of faith" heights on a building like Marcus, but getting his heart broken. Andi is going to get him over his fear. This could work either way:
1.) If Josh is F1, then she will "test" him with those feelings so that she is sure he's the one who is right for her. Josh fans will LOVE this possibility.
2.) If not F1, she will eliminate him and this experience will allow him to go forward in starting new relationships after a five year drought... either in Atlanta or on a show with 25 Grown-Ass Ladies. Josh fans will NOT love this possibility unless the end result involves 25 Grown-Ass Ladies.

As I recall, back in Jillian's season, F2 Kippy was billed as a "heartbreaker" rather than a "heartbreakee"... and he did become the latter in the end. Josh is different since he claims he had never heartbroken anybody else. Desiree had a heatbreak speech with Brooks under the Hollywood sign, but both claimed to have experienced it already before... and Des was willing to experience it again.

Andi was very upset dumping Cody and one wonders if this is foreshadowing: "It is a very weird feeling. Seven guys left… and I’m like… I dunno. I don’t ever want to be the cause of somebody’s pain or heartbreak or anything. I would rather feel the pain than I did last night, like, a million times over then do what I just did, like, I’d rather it be me than anyone else.”

Earlier with Eric (episode #4): "You have no clue how f***ing difficult it is to look in someone’s face and send them home!” Josh... of all people!... spoke during this: “She shouldn’t be crying right now”. Oh you just KNOW the editors left that in as foreshadowing to Josh's storyline regardless whether or not he gets eliminated.

Back in episode #2, Chris said he feared being heartbroken if he didn't get a rose on his Santa Anita date. Yet once he got that first date under his belt, there has been no more of that talk... yet. In the last episode, when Josh was angry that he got the group rose, he said: "It is not only about the rose. Roses only mean you are developing a relationship."

I don't know, when I watch Josh and Andi together, and especially when you read your recaps (it's nice to see it in black and white) I can't help but feel a little dejavu of Des' season.  Maybe not that Josh bows out but more that Des realizes what she needs.  At the M & G Andi in a PI says that Josh is her type, the nailed it, but then there's a reason why I'm still single... Maybe my type is going to change"    Didn't Des say something similar about Brooks?  Then again, maybe it's just their "conflict"

In Des' season she didn't have any conflict with Chris, he was just always there, and what she needed?

Emily's season...did she have a conflict with Jef or was he just there again for her after the drama?

Ashley's season, I don't recall her having any conflict with JP either, Ashley's was getting over Bentley??

Ali's season, wasn't it that Ali was concerned if Roberto would love her?

Good points Max. Following your reasoning, it makes a lot of sense that Andi rejects "her type" Josh and chooses Nick... and by the way, wasn't it Nick that 'took care' of Andi when Eric leaves?
