Bachelorette 10: Edit-Storyline - *SPOILERS* - should we bother? Oooohhhh... why not? part 2

People have to realize, especially us women that men don't carry grudges men can curse each other out, fight and still go out and grab a beer, laugh and talk it's us catty women that hold grudges and stay upset for eternity.... It doesn't surprise me at all that the guys are friendly..... It's so amusing to read poor Nick, he is just misunderstood but the same was not said or afforded to the women who was considered villainous on this show, it's truly unfortunate and sad.....

The polar edits are what keeps the audience interested. If my in laws (who watch religiously, yet unspoiled) couldn't complain about contestants there wouldn't be anything interesting about the show to them. Creating fans to support sides is what keeps the show going. Not many get invested in regular TV shows as much because they are all actors so the point is moot. Factor in what the audience seems to believe are real feelings, real people, and real situations and it's what keeps reality TV alive. We should all know better by now that most of it isn't totally real.   

I feel like both of the F2 are getting a shaft edit. Nick is being depicted as some sort of villain even though he really isn't and poor Josh is stuck with an edit based on a career he hasn't had in over a decade. Seriously, why can't Andi just be in love with Josh the nice, financial planner (or whatever he is) who is close to his family?

I just want RS to be wrong, simply because I want RS to be wrong.

ETA: Based strictly on the edit.... I would think someone else besides Josh was F1 because he's the only getting a great edit to be the next lead. IMO Nick, Chris, and Marcus are all out of the running.

I think he's getting a negative edit because he was a negative in the house for some of the guys.  I don't think the guys are lying about Nick. They don't need to edit Nick negatively to make Josh more palatable to the audience.  They have plenty of viewers backing them.

Was it Chloep or ? that said that originally Nick was going to get the genuine, sweet guy edit and Josh the angry face, bulging eyes, crazy, jealous edit? I'm betting they had enough footage to go either way with it.

I think he's getting a negative edit because he was a negative in the house for some of the guys.  I don't think the guys are lying about Nick. They don't need to edit Nick negatively to make Josh more palatable to the audience.  They have plenty of viewers backing them.

The Eric's death will be a game changer, i.e. The Eric Effect. IMO We will soon see the curve ball for both guys. I have shared the same opinion with JBF that Josh is not the F1 and would possibly be our Next Bachelor. Eventhough for the life of me i couldnt comprehend why JBF couldnt get off from a Chris S as the F1 bandwagon eversince last year?    (just      Prof!   )

IMO we will get to see Josh overcome his 'fear' (he havent got his heart broken before, so the devil Fleiss will make sure he experienced it first time on national TV) thus following either of two Never-get-heartbroken-before frontrunner guys's footsteps : ala Kyptin (the F2 dumpee who was not the next TB) or..Hello!..Sean Lowe 2.0 (though Josh would end up in F2 position IMO). I do hope its the latter !

I'm a real thorn in your side, am I? Ha ha! As long as I am still lurking about, the prospect of that... that... Pig Farmer... that... that... Soules Soy Beaner... just keeps appearing... out-of-focus... in the outskirts of those two Great Luv Stories That Are Just "OMG!" with Teddy and Josh... the guys she is SUPPOSED to stay focused on because, like... Actually, you should read all of the posters over on the motherboard who are sillier than any of us here could ever hope to be. They don't want Chris to be either F1 or next Bachelor because he... gasp!... expects a woman to be a... a... "homemaker". He is also a DUI No-No-case from way back. Run! Andi! Run!

ITA with your entire post and you explained it so well.    The edit does not point to either man as F1.
I would say the same if I was not spoiled, not had access to the BTS information that we do.

Being spoiled, I still have some conflicts about some of this information in my head. Its clear as mud.

Of all these guys I would pick Josh as next Bachelor. He just has a great personality for it which none of the other guys do though Marcus is a beautiful man (or in the words of Andi Maaaan !). Chris and Nick do nothing for me and I would give their seasons a skip.

so true, everything above. I also wonder about the edit mostly. Maybe because I'm fascinated by it, having graduated from non-linear editing, I observe the game, more than actual characters. But if someone catches my eye, then I get a bit "obsessed" ... that's why I'm here to comment.
Nick's image started through the eyes of Andi as real, genuine, slightly shy, modest, cute and sweet kind of guy, then it switched to an arrogant and over-confident guy said by the guys in the house, a bit of a throw-back for Andi, but she continues to see him as a good guy. I assume by the end of the show he comes out as a good guy, and with the last episode he reached the lowest point in edited story. But then comes the question how it's gonna happen and why?

As for Josh, although all together he is getting the nice, positive edit, it's not told with whole potential that this guy has to offer. The fact that all the conversations we hear between Andi and Josh are about baseball, that isn't part of his life anymore, since he has another job, makes me also wonder, where it leads? Tonight at the HTD maybe that's gonna be answered. Yes, it also sets the whole issue of trust for Andi, being her type, athlete, but he isn't living the life-style anymore, so there is no problem really, again kinda made up story for the edit. Just like issue with Nick's real intentions.

The only edit that really makes no sense is Chris. If he is indeed in the run for The Bachelor or if he could be F1 ... just doesn't sit well with what we've seen so far.

I actually think Nick's edit could be seen as a f1 edit of sorts. Fleiss likes drama and a surprise. He didn't appear to have much to work with this season since the guys all got along pretty well. He could have made Josh the villain but not if he wants him as the next Bachelor (others would argue that it's because he's f1). We know Fleiss is willing to throw the f1 under the bus when he chooses. It's possible that he decided that it's okay to have Nick be disliked that the viewers because the main thing is that they're surprised by the ending. I doubt anyone will be surprised if Andi picks Josh.

As I've said many times I think it's most likely that Josh is the f1 but there's an argument to be made for any of the f4. What is interesting to me is what they show tonight at the HTDs. Will Nick's edit be softened by us seeing his family & friends? Is Josh's edit going to make it look like he's pulling away with this or will they continue with doubt? Marcus is going to leave per the spoilers so will they leave any chance that he may return? Will Chris be shown as a potential f1 or next lead? And even more importantly - will they give us a good preview of the FDs?

As you know I love to think outside the box and the bolded sparked something in me after my 3rd cup of coffee(yes, sometimes I need it)
Clues keep popping up from Momma Murray's sm diarrhea. Maybe those are not clues for Josh being F1, but clues for the next bachelor. It certainly could be. It would be wise to help build up his image prior to the season ending and the next beginning.

But Josh did say he was cheated on. I know this is not a fan thread so I will give my opinion. There is overwhelming evidence-- the yellow bracelet that he started wearing on his date with Andi and still has on today. The ribbon matches screen caps. (Thanks Sophie) All the times, and there a few, that Josh and Andi tweeted minutes apart, and the list goes on. Even with all the "clues" I go by what i feel and see with my own eyes. Andi wants Josh. imo  :cutesmile!: 

But I respect all the different opinions. ;)
