There are several reasons that could account for Andi's edit, which I don't think has been a very flattering edit:

1.  Drama sells, romance doesn't.
2.  Andi and DeAnna are twins from another mother.
3.  MF loves irony, and will take a strength and edit it to look like a flaw.
4.  Alcohol and lack of sleep  ...  they do this on purpose to get the drama, spontaneity in a formatted show.
5.  TPTB aren't sold on the final couple  ... they don't think there's a chance the couple will last long beyond the bubble.
6.  Andi and her F1 are broken up.

All of your points are spot on in terms of how they edit someone but, the bolded is what I said at the end of last season. They use this trick all the time, particularly if they feel someone is getting full of themselves. I just don't see Andi having much of a sense of humour and that is a big turn of for me.

I know many are justifying her edit as her just having an analytical personality, producer prodding and manipulation, tiredness etc. While I agree, all of these come into play, it is very early in the season...she hasn't even left the country yet...and she has already lost it a few times with apparently more to come. That is just a bit too much for my taste. I had the same feeling with Emily and boy was it hard swimming up stream with all her defenders. I'm just finding Andi very MeAndi...too over the top, too dramatic...for my personal taste. She is not a horrible Bette and I think she is giving the producers a show but, personally, I just find her personality off putting.

I agree with both of you to an extend but I frame it differently.  
She needs to find the guy who sees very few of these traits as flaws.  That's really what relationships are about after the honeymoon period; you get to where you only have butterflies on even days and on odd days it becomes more about how you lift each other up or deal with the large & the small.
I think by her showing what her outbursts are like, her snarkiness, her wanting others to share but sharing little of her own, her analytical nature, etc she has a better chance of determining who sees her for who she is and accepts that.

I do, however, think her age is a factor.  Assertive analytical people can mellow with age. I think she will benefit from further life experiences.

So for me, I have not been impressed with Andi. She skewered JPG for this and didn't listen when he tried to tell her. That for me makes me less impressed with her, she is getting a little karma back on this. All leads get little sleep, she is not unique, and she is having more of her little blow ups than most. I do think she is type A and somewhat analytical, but since I am a scientist working toward a PhD, I work with tons of analytical, type As. If anything I find that tends to make you less emotional and more introspective.

I didn't blame Andi for the Eric incident. I think given a choice Andi would have let Eric go sooner, but in TPTB's mind I think they thought he would be a perfect bachelor and so she had to keep him around. She isn't a great actress with the guys so as she has less interest she falls back on the head nod and saying yes or agreeable noises instead of actually interacting. I don't blame her for this either, I think it would be hard to fake interest in all these guys. That being said, her response to the sit down with CH is what annoyed me, with time I would have expected her to be able to say, I was tired and exhausted and maybe didn't really listen as well as I could of. But in her sit down with CH she only regretted that it was their last interaction, but in no way seemed to have learned from it at all.

That is what I mean by self-centered, I don't see Andi learning from any of these times she has gotten upset, I don't mind the upset, if she learns from it when she moves forward. This might not make sense to anyone else. I also don't enjoy her way of testing Josh, some find it cute and flirty, to me it is blaming him for someone else's actions. I like her with Nick, he brings out a softer side and she actually listens to him.

I am open to liking Andi more as the season goes on, but right now she is reminding me of Emily in her manner as well. Her interactions remind me a lot of Emily's interactions with Arie. He was so hot, but she was always making him prove himself when he really hadn't done anything wrong. I get that same vibe from Andi with Josh. Of course I liked Emily better with Jef and right now I like Andi better with Nick.

If Andi eases up and starts being a little less prosecutor and more listener, I would be willing to change my mind.

Completely agree about her poorish skill and what did appear to be an opportunity not taken to re-evaluate the Eric situation as evidenced in the CH interview.  Watching her last encounter with Eric I just felt it was very unfortunate and felt she could have been more attentive and should have reached for the olive branch he held out a few times.
It was the CH interview that left me agape.

She does listen but seems to process within her own listening agenda rather than being openly attentive.
