One other thought, and I hesitate to mention it, is that Eric could have written it.  Maybe with the way he left, he didn't intend to come to the MTA and wrote a letter to Andi.  I can't believe that TPTB would sink so low as to air that letter, but, the family might want it aired if they felt it was a way for Eric to explain what he was trying to say.  Long shot and not really what I think happened with this.

I was thinking about Nick being manipulated by TPTB and wonder why he let it happen?  All indications from the guys are that Nick knew exactly how this show worked and what he would need to do to get to the end.  Why would he let them use him that way if he was so aware of how it all worked?  What would he get out of it?  Did he think he would be the bachelor and then decide he really cared about Andi?  That just really confuses me.  Did he think he was playing them and ended up being used instead?

I think your #2 scenario is most likely.  Did she say something about "this blowing up in her face" after the lie detector test in Italy?  Are they splicing and dicing from previous episodes?  Probably, or it has nothing to do with the letter at all!  I hope I get to see the preview.

Robyn from TV guide tweeted Patrick and Nick S got a little rude with Andi.  of all people an F15 and an F11.  In fact Patrick even tweeted he was mad they edited out all his stuff.  I will tell you what he tweeted and then deleted in the thread for tweets as it could be a little spoilerish.
