I think (and honestly these are only my thoughts from watching Nikki and JPG all season) that they had decided on their strategy. I think JPG fully hates TPTB by now and wanted to give them nothing extra. As I stated in an earlier post, once they started the strategy when could they stop without it looking worse?

It might not have been the best strategy, and it was probably selfish of JPG to ask her to do that, but if they decided that together then I can actually see the way they were treat on AFTR being one more thing to bring them closer together.

I also think CH could have beaten up on JPG's unwillingness to ILY without it being so hard on Nikki. He could have probed into why JPG was uncomfortable saying it and such. That would have been embarassing to JPG without being so harsh on Nikki. The repeating of the same question over and over and the stupid showering comment were CH and TPTB acting just as immaturely as JPG. To me they are both to blame for the mess of the AFTR. Maybe both should apologize to Nikki? At least I think/hope JPG had her consent first. CH and TPTB just didn't give a darn about Nikki in their efforts to humiliate JPG.

That audience is out for blood, it would not have made a difference, they wouldn't have believed her anyway. So, it is what it is, time will tell.

First off, if they both decided on the strategy of silence, Nikki wouldn't have admitted the truth in front of everyone, she too would have evaded the subject. More than likely, it was his strategy and she, for whatever reason, went along with it. And, yes, if he asked her to do it, it was selfish of him. Initially she was open and frank with CH, but once JP came out, she shut up like a clam. JP took over the spotlight and that's when things went south.
I agree that both CH and JP had an equal hand in the fiasco, but I also feel that if JP hadn't let his ego take a hold of him and had he relented a bit, things wouldn't have gone that far. He didn't want to say the ILY words, but what's wrong with revealing their future plans. It's not as if TPTB care, but their fans do, and besides, it was eventually going to come out through social media anyway. By throwing out a few tidbits he could have defused the situation, made himself look good, and beaten his adversaries at their own game instead of looking like a stubborn goat. Had he followed a different strategy at the FRC, there may have been many opportunities available for both of them, but unfortunately, that door is most likely shut tight now.

I don't know or care if he had said it before AFTR, truthfully, that is Nikki's business not mine. Seeing the angry and upset JPG on Monday night, I honestly could see him walking out of that studio and saying those words right away, just as soon as TPTB could get no value from them.

I don't have it, but read it yesterday while getting my hair done. Most was what we have heard already, but I did catch that Nikki was more specific about those plans that changed two weeks ago. She actually said they had planned on moving to LA until two weeks ago, so that seems to confirm losing the DWTS thing.
