The interview isn't going away because it is a big clue Clare isn't F1. JMO.

Why isn't Juan even concerned about How The Time Was Spent?

You can also add the fact that Clare fussed about Nikki spending too much time with him in Korea as "foreshadowing".

Let's face it. Neither of us are going to get the answers we want out of this silly interview... or Juan's scenes with Clare in that pre-RC scene.

If looking at edit alone it's better not to compare with the Bachelorette show and instead look back at the Bachelor. Only 2 times has the chemistry edit been the f1 and neither had a typical edit. Clare isn't getting the same negative edit they did and I'd say she and Nikki both get their share of negatives shown. What I see with Clare is the usual f2 or 3 chemistry edit. It reminds me most of Andy's season with both Nikki and Sharleen being somewhat like reluctant Tessa. Clare is very much like Bevin although maybe not quite as popular. I didn't like either she or Tessa all that much but lots loved them. I see that JP has a real attraction to Clare but don't see it beyond the physical.

Here we go. We are at that point in the season where lines are drawn and everyone sticks with their camps and beliefs, no matter what. It's funny how we do this every season, jejejeje. Wash, Rinse, Repeat! :cutesmile!:

Would one of you believers that Nikki is F1 being willing to layout specifically why you think so? I'm open minded to the position that Clare might not be F1, but as I've said before, Clare is the only one I feel like I, personally, can make a strong argument for. (Not because I want her to be...I really don't care.)

Maybe I haven't been listening, but I feel like I keep reading reason's why Clare can't be F1 as opposed to specific reasons why Nikki is. I'm completely open to some solid reasoning, but I think I've missed it if it's being posted. If it's already been written up (in the non-spoiler threads), can you tell me where? If it's in the spoiler threads, can someone copy it and PM it to me? TIA

The fact that she will be meeting his family tonight doesn't even give me any comfort. In whatever way it ended for them, I'm sure everyone has moved on by now. It's all good.

I can't stop thinking of Ben Flajnik in Ashley's season. He was VERY upset at her in Fiji. More so than it appeared on screen. (Allegedly Jason Mesnick saw a "rough cut" version, made possibly when Ryan Park was still being considered for the next lead, that had quite a bit more anger on display. Ben had to be "spruced up" when he was considered in the running.) The AFTR show was very cold and tense with neither Ben nor Ashley looking at the other in the eye. The Cold War involving the twitter accounts lasted quite a while, but she forgave Bentley online long before she attended a function (Cassie/Peter's wedding) with him and Courtney.

SOMETHING went down late in the season to required this peculiar "therapy" edit on screen that started with Victoria's scenes. If Nikki isn't the one who fell for Juan in the bubble and had some sort of meltdown when he rejected her, then somebody else did. If Nikki is F1, Clare? The point of showing them in the pool and ocean romp makes no sense if Clare wasn't F1 and was upset about being rejected. No sign in Andi/Sharleen/Chelsie/Renee's edits suggest they will be greatly heartbroken, but tons of signs in Nikki's edit.

Per talking about watching bachelor seasons verse bachelorette seasons….

I keep thinking the same thing….but there are new editors to this show and it hasn't been like Andy's season for awhile. Brad 2.0 Emily wasn't hidden……Ben Courtney wasn't hidden…….Sean Catherine really wasn't hidden but it did on their 1:1 and she wasn't hidden after that….

I personally feel like Nikki if F1 because, to me, it seems like she is the one he has the most honest, real connection with. I feel like she is being hidden a little regarding her connection with Juan Pablo and that there is alot more there than edit is showing us. I think it is subtle but I think I see a very strong, genuine intellectual, physical and emotional connection with Nikki that I don't see him having with the others. While there is no denying the physical connection between Clare and Juan Pablo I don't see the emotional and intellectual connection with her that I see with Nikki. I know that we are only seeing what TPTB want us to see but I really feel like I am seeing a real love story between these two. Nikki seems like she really like Juan Pablo but it trying to hold her feelings in check and Juan Pablo seems like he is trying to reassure her in a lot of little, subtle ways.

Of course I am hopeless romantic at heart so I guess I could be reading too much into everything but I don't think so.

Showing the romp in the ocean made perfect sense .. It had the effect in the next episode to put doubt front and center and some major conflict for Juan AND Clare .. Which .. According to the interview .. Still hasn't been resolved 100% .. It does put Clare in a negative light in some respects because she instigated it .. Secretively .. Creates a lot of doubt of her being able to be F1 seeing as Juan addressed it the next episode as being a mistake. . There has been more drama or self directed behavior Clare related in the first 6 episodes than for any other gal there .. Most other drama has come and gone quickly .. It is sooooo common for the edit to concentrate on 1 character initially .. And most of the time it is not the F1s part of the edit .. With a couple of exceptions

I see tons of signs of upsetting heartbreak in Clare's actions and behavior .. The tears already shed .. Her physical reaction when someone else is in her Juan space .. And the facial expressions she tends to use .. I see the very strong potential of the melt down .. As you refer to it .. Actually being hers .. As she looses grip on what she thought May/shôuld have been hers in the end

Here's what I am speculating: the pool session happened AFTER the group date, but edited in, as if it took place DURING it. This made Juan look "wrong" with his "taking time away from the others" logic on screen. He was even commenting on the ocean from the pool kissing session as if he was having the same idea she was... later.

Even the shooting of her going to his pad was weird. It was as if the handlers got all confused at how to construct a story around what they did spontaneously just in case Clare didn't wind up as F1... or maybe feared the other ladies would freak that he made up his mind about Clare that early and label him a (you pick the word). Who knows? I can't make heads or tails out of this situation. Yet there is so much lop and chop editing here.

I had wondered how the heck JuanP had managed to take Clare to his room during the night portion of the group date and make out with her in the pool for who knows how long....while the rest of the women on the group date were still there!!! But, your theory that the romp in the pool didn't actually happen until later that same night would make perfect sense. We may never know the truth.
