sde1041 - I wasn't making that comment that is a prerogative, but upthread or in another thread….posters where stated that JP should stay with spanish women and go find one that would understand his culture. I was just reminding posters that Clare is hispanic and probably knows spanish. That is all….nothing more, nothing less…

Correct …. but I have only seen him use that term with Andi, building her physical connection with him. There hasn't been anyone else speak spanish to him that I can remember or use that term with…correct me if I am wrong…..

IMO a girl that speaks (basic) spanish is better off in a spanish speaking household than one that doesn't.
My mother-in-law did not speak the same langauge as that of her inlaws (husbands family) but she learned it pretty quickly because her mother-in-law was constantly saying nasty things about her lol. She was smart and kept asking friends etc. what was being said and to teach her that language. Just saying - she had to learn to keep up.

i understand your point. I believe Clare`s mom is Mexican. so i wouldnt be surprise if she is fluent in spanish. I think Clare`s fam dynamics and JPab`s are well-suited.

Actually it is curious that topic (language) has never been brought up by any interviewer that I can remember. He spoke about dancing and wanting to try different foods (basically fondess for eating) but not language.

Hmmm... I am not sure how I can put this politely, Juan Pablo comes from a very cultured, educated Venezuelan family, his father is a professor. Looking at Clare's sister, I'm not sure.......

Regarding language, I agree with you all that knowing Spanish would be very useful in a Spanish speaking family.
What I meant, is that sometime, this logic is not taken into consideration when someone falls in love. The heart, feelings guide the decision and forget the "reasoning".
But we're good, I get your point.

He actually seemed softer on the dancing issue than the food issue so who knows !

As he mentioned in his Miami blog, he took Nikki to eat Venezuelan food after Camila's dance recital.

After the recital, I took her to eat Venezuelan food, which I always do after a dance recital. We said goodbye to the family and just the two of us went to eat. She loved tequeños (my favorite bite) and the arepa with carne mechada (shredded beef).
