Gee, murasaki1393, you are making this place look like Berlin in 1945.

I really have no problem with Juan choosing Nikki, Andi, Renee OR Clare... but, like you, I just see the one candidate at the end of this. It is not so much a matter of me "liking" The Princess.

The fact that she has all of the identifiable LCD footage while everybody else is MIA after Fantasy Date time is one factor. Yes, I fully understand that they can withhold screencaps until much later. Remember when I told you last season that Drew would leave the same week as Brooks and you barked back that Drew was staying longer? You were right. Soon enough, we got that shot of him at the next rose ceremony in the post-MTA preview... and his horseback ride didn't get shown at fantasy time (being a partial LCD instead).

Sooo... I am not ruling out the very slim POSSIBILITY of Nikki being F1 just yet... and, of course, I am trying To Be As Fair As Possible.

Like I PMed you, Tuesday... not Monday... can't come soon enough for me.

it is always fun throwing analysis, predicting and speculating...    
so i guess you can skip all the 4 hours valuable time of your life on Mon and Tues...just sit back around here and wait for Litta/others dropping the brand new SCs of the finale preview...LOL...  ..err... i just hope that they wont be stingy by only showing us the footage of the Women Tell Nothing...

Last season we had determined via SCs exactly what happened at the end. No SCs for Brooks beyond the pier, no SCs for Drew beyond the horse-riding and the rejection scene on the beach. And it panned out exactly.

Therefore the absence of both Andi and Nikki in anything resembling an LCD is pretty telling. JMO.

Actually it's not telling of anything .. Seeing as TPTB have historically left out SCs at this stage of the game ..  of a major player in the past .. And this almost seasonally repeats itself

I for one don't see Clare as Slam dunk F1 like some here.

However (and perhaps this discussion is better suited to the SC thread) I do question the absence of SCs for both Nikki and Andi. Which season have we not got SCs for both FDs and LCDs of the F1 ? Just going by the the last few seasons itself Chris, Jef, Catherine and Emily all had both LCD and FD SCs in the Mid-season previews. That is not to say that the F2 didn't get both IF they were still part of the show !

Yes, murasaki1393, I was complimenting you. In fact, a couple things you covered I also covered before too... like the way he discusses Clare with Chris Harrison in the "behind the scenes". At first I kept scratching my head as to why there was so much discussion about just ONE contestant and Harrison making a big deal about Juan actually CHOOSING the first date contestant (even though we've pretty much figured out how little actual "choosing" these leads get to do with the production schedule).

Yeah... nd4reality, there are seldom "slam dunks" on this show. Even I keep asking why they are making the Clare/Juan connection so... obvious. You keep thinking there's GOT to be some sort of "catch" here. Yet... every time I try to be As Fair As Possible with the other contestants, I struggle.

Yes, Nikki got to see Camilla first. Yet when has a F1 seen the kid that early in the season? Well... Melissa was a temporary F1, I guess. Molly didn't see Ty until New Zealand. Jef didn't see Ricki until the finale, while Ryan Bowers at least got to observe her in episode #2. Also Harrison downsized the situation as no-big-deal on his Entertainment Weekly blog.

Earlier Kelad9 and I went back and forth trying to see if Chelsie could be a possible F1. I really did TRY to make her "fit". After all, he labeled her "wife material". As it turned out, she was pretty high up the totem poll regardless. I think he cried more over her than Sharleen. (Probably because Sharleen broke up with him and it didn't upset him as much.)

I see your point, ND, and I agree that it's worth wondering... Why no SC of Nikki or Andi from LCD ?
But each season can be different, especially if the production wants to keep us on our toes...

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think it is unusual not to have SCs for both f2 having LCDs. This time there are 2 potential blondes who could be in the f2 so having just one in the season preview doesn't give it away. I wasn't sure it was even Clare at first. I have a feeling what really decides it from season to season is what they decide fits best in the preview. Even if it turns out they've never done it before, I find this show "always" does something until they don't. Remember back when the f1 was always on one side? That convinced a lot of people that Andy was picking Bevin but that was the yr they changed it up. For me the SCs are just one piece along with edit and a lot of other clues.

That's exactly what I was wondering. Do we have to think the production is going to use the same mold every year? I don't think so...
I also remember posters discussing the position of F1 and F2 on the group picture at the beginning of the season...

Ha ha! We've pretty much thrown out the group "positioning" lately. Mind you, Clare standing where Jordan Paul and Jefie were at Meet & Greet is still interesting in itself. The rose ceremony positioning lost all of its cookie cutter patterns (that Bloomers used to analyze in depth) a few seasons back.

^^ Then again they were both short in comparison to the others.

So, re-watching the behind the scenes and where they highlighted a few girls…Clare's highlight I viewed a little differently. I don't know if this has been discussed or not but Clare's mother is hispanic. You hear an accent in her voice and they talked about speaking spanish and Clare does a little bit. So on Monday's episode JP and Clare's 1:1 time he asked for besitos and Clare knew exactly what that meant. Just thought that interesting and have here some where that JP just needs a spanish women….will half spanish work???
