In not trying to critizize, so im sorry if it's coming off that way. Please tell me what it is you took issue with though... just so I can understand where it is you're coming from.

I just dont understand or agree with the constant negativity towards these people (and people in general) (towards Clare especially...in this case). I understand having a healthy discussion on the show and the dynamics and so on but it seems as if this one person can do no right and is not getting any kind of positive reinforcement. At all. And honestly, it's not even that I think that she needs positive reinforcement...it's that she has wayyy too much negative reinforcement. I will have to wait and see if im singing the same tune by the end of the season.. but so far she has not done anything for me to 100% dislike her or not give her the benefit of the doubt.

i enjoy reading your perspective from professional like you, eversotrue.     and i fully understand your concern.

my simple tip is, pls dont allow this silly show (and yes, sometimes discussion around here  :hidingchair ) getting into your nerves. Its a TV Show, anyway!. and we are supposedly to have much fun discussing it on this board.  . Picking on, poke on, criticizing..etc toward a contestant is allowed in this board, but to tell others what to think and to post is a big No-No (i am NOT saying that you do this). We have had our `dark period` on Emily`s season that we dont want to repeat again.

Guess This is the beauty of this board : we always may agree to disagree on any topic. sooo..pls feel free to keep posting as long as it is in line with the rules....   :Smiley:

ITA. The hatred/distain/dislike of a contestant to include constant negativity regarding them is baffling to me as well. I just try to remember what Jillian Harris said. They are all just people. Some better than others, yet all deserve to not have complete negativity/hatred surrounding them.

i am on board with this. Just flashing back last season, i oftenly beg posters on Chris thread to be at least considerate of their posts since many of his family members/friends/co-workers are members of this forum and mostly following his thread as well. The same goes with Zak thread, i think. I felt sorry for one of Chris`s relatives who was really2 bumped (and therefore stop posting!) over how the Siegfried`s being portrayed at HTD and also over the negativity toward him and his fam over the other threads. Sometimes i think thats where we should draw the boundaries line.

Seeing the constant negativity and harsh comments toward Clare, i just hope that none of her fam/friends belong to this board.

Yea, I think that is an important thing to remember. Family/friends do come here so to constantly be bombarded by all the negativity has got to turn them off. Heck, it turns me off and I'm not a friend/family member. Hopefully that can be thought of here...

Sadly, if people don't want to see negativity about themselves or friends/family members, then they really should stay away from boards like this and basically all social media...or grow a really thick skin! Compared to many others, this board is positively tame.

While I have no objection to criticizing/making fun of contestants or leads appearing on the show since they are here for my viewing pleasure (or displeasure)...they should know what they are getting into after all these years (there is absolutely no excuse not to)...I do try to maintain a certain amount of objectivity:

--- They are all carefully selected, vetted, manipulated and edited by producers.
--- What I see on screen is carefully selected by producers to make me feel/think a certain way.
--- None of these people is as good or as bad as they are being made out to be.

I think the problems often start when we develop favourites for the "winner". Just because I like ______, doesn't mean that _____, the rival for that coveted F1 has to be cut to shreds. It seems to happen every season when we start getting near the end. The camps form and go at each other through their favourites. It becomes less objective and more subjective. This season, based on what I am reading here, the final four seem to have determined to be Clare, Nikki, Andi and Renee, with the two former duking it out for F1. I don't see much criticism about the two latter...in fact, most people seem to like both, particularly Renee. The two former each have their supporters and their critics...and it seems that if you don't support someone, you cut up that rival in ever more increasingly negative and disparaging ways. You would think that with all our knowledge about the manipulations that go on, we could maintain more of an open mind, but unfortunately, it never seems to work out that way.  

Ahhhh yes. I was not specifically adressing anyone but I understand what you're saying as I did not actually point that out. I was just implying that in general...it's sad that people can be close-minded and judgemental. I also dont take that as a huge offense though either because we ALL are to some degree. We are all guilty of that. We judge based on appearance, career, they way we live our lives, raise our children, the way we see ourself, etc.. It's a flaw that we have and I dont ever see that going away. It's how we choose to handle those situations and how far we let actions/words go that matter. And yes, I am a peacemaker and I do pick people's minds but a part of our plan is getting down to every aspect, good and bad. We ARE allowed to go there. How do you think we point out issues and resolve them? We have to point out the negative in order to do so.

I understand what you mean and agree that we all see things through our own prism of experience. It is very difficult to maintain 100% objectivity no matter how hard you try. As for resolving our issues, well....sometime we don't. This is one of those that comes up every season. We kind of talk it out and usually, things sort themselves out...eventually...for the most part. We let the mods deal with any serious issues. Unfortunately, some people get tired of all the bickering and just don't bother posting much any more or leave the board all together.  :Frown:

THIS IS WHAT SET US APART FROM OTHERS

Ive taken notes that usually the F1 and the Lead got to do some of the `filler` VOs to emphasized that they have something very special, that set their relationship apart from the others.

I have found one in JuClare`s case. (Clare is the `hypothetical` F1 IMO) and bringing back one from last season`s Cinderella story. I am sure many past seasons also involving those spesific VO, but i`ll let others (maybe the edit guru?) to fill me in.

Note that in both vids the Theme Song was played for the second time respectively (Chres`s previously on epi.5 while JuClare`s on epi.2) and the VO was thrown in at the end of the segment. (Clare was at the end of night portion while Chris of daytime portion)

PS : TYSM Aunties!.  .for your hard work uploading the full season of the Cinderella fairy tale  :giggle:..I just knew that the other vids on YT playlist by MsEttenna1 are mostly deleted bc she closed her account. (Why oh why, YT??..  ). ..so your vids are the most reliable ones that we have   

But then Nikki said the same thing in a VO just before she sat with him on the group date in New Zealand.
