*No Spoilers* The Bachelor 18 Edit Discussions

I remember how every one allowed the producers and their editing magic to form a completely negative and untrue opinion about Michelle Money. Now, it turns out that she is one of the most beloved member of Bachelor Nation. It will be remiss of me to presume to think that everyone views this show the same way that I do, or that everyone is willing to give others the benefit of the doubt. Still, it comes as a surprise to me that those of us on this forum, who pays close attention to the show, and understands (to an extent) the ploys and tricks the producers employ to force a cast into the character that has been created for him/her still fall for their trickery and judge the casts unfairly. Yes, they signed up for the show and they are therefore open to ridicule, but is it so difficult to choose not to propagate the shows narrative about these people? Why allow ourselves to have active feelings and such negative emotions about total strangers!

If I detest anything at all about this show, it is the power it has to engender ugly feelings, and bring out the judgmental nature in all of us. Feelings that, whether we admit it or not, doesn't end when an episode ends, or a season is over. In the immortal words of the wise sage, Juan Pablo -WATCH OUT!

Well you would think that to build the story of coo-coo Nikki, the editors would have brought that theme in by now. The first real confrontation we are being shown between Clare and Nikki is episode 7, the rivalry of the final 2 girls? I believe the rivalry already started in epi 4/Seoul when Juan brought up to Nikki about stress/drama in the house and NIKKI is the one that assumed it was Clare that started that, meanwhile it wasn't. I believe that is when the stage was set for Nikki to go a little coo-coo on Clare in epi 7.

Good to see I'm not alone defending the Princess. Poor gal is getting a beating today because so many feel she is too "possessive" of Juan. *chuckle chuckle*

One good thing... Nikki has a strong enough support system here. She may need it tomorrow and upcoming episodes in case the editors overdo her "negativity" and try to morph her into the next Courtney. At least I do laugh at a few of her comments.

What I don't understand is how all of a sudden there are so many Nikki supporters? To me, I think we will see her "bitchy" side coming out next epi and hopefully Juan will see it too. As I stated in another thread, Nikki already laid the groundwork for a confrontation back in Seoul and it is obvious to me that it will come out big time again in the next epi.

The animosity and distrust between Clare and Nikki did start with episode 4, but it is clear from the preview that Nikki went upstairs to avoid an argument, and Clare follows. So, if Nikki does go a little coo-coo, it's seems it was because Clare wouldn't let it be.

Those were her words, not mine.  She was about to "bolt" from Juan Pablo because she felt he needed to apologize, and be responsible for her emotional well being.  I don't know what circumstances make her "bolt" from relationships, but the fact that she felt the need to express that shows her overwhelming desire for everything to be about her.

BUT she also said last epi that she doesn't want to do that with Juan.

We will possibly see her "bitchy" side, but don't we all have that side when pushed?

But good chance Nikki was not the initiator of the confrontation .. And may be kudos to her for standing up for herself when Clare starts in on her .. Just maybe Clare is the real bitch

but it was Nikki that started the coo-coo on Clare down and upstairs as well. The rivalry between them started in epi 4 with Nikki's assumptions. That is when it started between themselves. Should Clare not stand up for herself when someone/Nikki is starting things????

What seems to be missed here AND it did happen in the preview is that Nikki started it downstairs with Clare, then left to go upstairs. Clare followed so she could stand up for herself. Was she supposed to let someone walk all over her when Nikki started it downstairs? or stand up for herself as most people would of??

I know assumptions and hatred/distain for Clare is primary, but maybe, just maybe as in the preview, she didn't start it but Nikki did, then left.
