I hope I don't mistype the next paragraph but when we saw the episode, Clare seemed content with whatever discussion they had and decided to move forward in the process. Currently she does not sound validated and understanding of where JaunP came from then. THAT is what is weird with her interview. Seemed like she did not get closure both on or after the show.

When I watched the last episode it seemed to me like he could have said squat and she would have still proceeded. Even CH noted that JaunP really didn't apologize. Seems like Clare wanted to stay in the game more than the principals that she is now trying to defend.

Having said all this I totally see where you guys are reading that she is f1 and perhaps she is. I just don't get the post-show read that they are in heaven.

Which is why I don't think she is F1.

We shall see if we can get a screencap of the 1:45 mark on Part 2 of Kimmel. We can debate here or on the screencap thread if he is hiding the fact that Nikki is F1 or he simply thinks Nikki is coo-coo.

Just what have we been shown that hints that Juan Pablo thinks Nikki is coo-coo exactly? Has Nikki acted coo-coo in front of Juan Pablo, not that I have noticed. The eye roll (IMO) was JP's attempt to make Jimmy Kimmel's pick out to "coo-coo" and very poor attempt at that. Clare and Nikki obviously rubbed each other up the wrong way, but that doesn't make Nikki coo-coo. Clare appears to be more unstable than Nikki frankly who strikes me as a mature 26 year old who knows her strengths and weaknesses and is not afraid to have a joke at her own expense.

I think this conversation between Kat and Kelly took place during the Vietnam group date:

Kate: "[Clare] made it all about her"
Kelly: "Are we noticing a theme here"

Kelly: "We all know she [Clare] is crazy"

I think if you rewatch any or all of it, you can find "clues" to support whomever you personally favor. After watching all of the episodes in sequence, including the countdown, I noticed many things I missed the first time around. Not sure if they are meaningful or not. One thing I did notice, all of the f6, even motherly Renee, were shown saying negative things about someone else. And Nikki wasn't the first person to compare Clare to a dog, it was Kelly.
IMO the editors have certainly done well enough to create a sense of who will it be?  What I am wondering is at what point, if ever, does the lead get to choose who gets which dates, including the different FD and LCD. And how far in advance does the lead know where he/she will be traveling during the show- or do they find out from location to location like the "contestants."
I enjoy reading the various pov. Didn't plan to watch this season, but I got sucked in anyway :cutesmile!:

Agreed. I think Juan Pablo really started to fall for Nikki in Vietnam after their 1 on 1 which is what prompted his regret over his foray into the ocean with Clare. He admitted he made a mistake (not just on the show ITM, but on twitter too) and he offered up such lame excuses for why it was wrong. Ben did not have one excuse, or one iota of regret for skinny dipping with Courtney. He did not spare a thought for the other girls. This is not the case for Juan Pablo. Something happened between the swim and the RC, and the thing that happened was Nikki.

Well you would think that to build the story of coo-coo Nikki, the editors would have brought that theme in by now. The first real confrontation we are being shown between Clare and Nikki is episode 7, the rivalry of the final 2 girls? Clare has already had one meltdown with Juan Pablo at a RC, could this be foreshadowing of a final almighty melt down at the FRC? Just putting that out as food for thought?

There is one important factor that has not been mentioned .. And that is Camila and her mom .. And I think it may eventually play a part in a decision down the road .. Juan has a great relationship with her and that means that his F1 must be very accepting of her as well .. With out any jealousy involved .. And I think this is where Clare falls very short .. As her jealousy will get in the way

Even her meltdown was not what it seemed. Andi insinuated to Sharleen that she was jealous of her kissing. Yes, Clare was concerned about the ladies being all over him. Sharleen stated there was an underlining possessiveness here. However, her blubbering with Renee was all about him not giving her reassurance and avoiding her. She also told him she was not jealous.

It is good that we are debating this rather then simply agreeing "yes, Clare is F1". Bring on all of the pro-Nikki or pro-Andi evidence... or even bring dark horse candidates Sharleen or Renee or the possibility of nobody into this.

Needless-to-say, the more I backtrack through the episodes, the harder it is for me to see any other outcome at the end of this. When I first watched episodes #1 and #2 when they were broadcast, I genuinely thought Nikki was the one. Yet... like last season... I will go back and keep discovering new things confirming how wrong my initial speculation was.

Part of this is editing. Part is the body language episode after episode. Take, for example, the breakfast scene in episode #3. We see Juan hug Renee, Danielle, Clare and Andi. HUGE differences in body language. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Now... the argument here. Why aren't we shown him hugging Nikki? Was it because their connection was too obvious? That is why I think Chris was hidden a lot before the Kate Earl dance (which had too much lop & chop and out-of-focus). Was it simply that she got up late and didn't hug him? Why bother showing him hug nobody he picks in the end? Heck, why bother showing him in the pool or ocean with Clare if it wasn't even necessary since he chose somebody else? There is no need for F1 and "All of America" to see that. Yeah, Mike Fleiss loves conflict on his show, but he may not be as gung-ho about the couple splitting before ATFR as we all assume.
