Sorry for the long post, but I just found the comparison interesting. I'm really not trying to champion Clare. Like Juan, I'm trying to be a fair as possible. However, these are the only scenes TPTB have given us to work with.

The bolded is precisely the reason why I'm not following that Clare is F1 logic. If we go as per St Lucia and the "ending" of the series, we have precisely  65 % Clare, 35% Andi and 10% Nikki in the previews.  That too Nikki has not been shown kissing/in a romantic scene at all. A bit skewed IMO. In the favor of Clare.

If anyone can remember a season where the F1 is so clearly and obviously displayed in "romantic" situations in the season preview - please jog my memory. Not happened yet. Perhaps this is the first season. It would also be the first season that the First Date of season does not fall under the first date curse. Hey - Roberto broke the FIR curse so perhaps Clare will too.

I dunno... Chris was getting plenty of action in Des' promos. In fact, he had roughly the same amount of footage as Clare. Then again, All Of America wasn't paying attention to HIM. Now... Bryden's hot-tub scene was shown instead of Chris', so if we go by the "hidden F1" analysis, he would be the "best" prospect prior to episode #5 (for those un-spoiled that is). Also Drew was backing her up in the Barcelona alley, but her body language was bizarre during his other "I’ve never had this feeling with anyone, like, it’s like you’ve known me my entire life" scene.

Just going on the season preview itself, Drew was most "visible" of the F3. By visible I mean lots of shots of him kissing Des clearly distinguishable. Brooks had no scenes in Antigua of any dates because none existed other than the drama. We did see a few scenes of Chris (walking on the beach) but he was not shown as much as Clare prior to Antigua either.
Similarly Jef was not the most visible in Emily's previews nor was Emily in Brads. In fact, Emily was completely missing after the F6 stage (dinner on the beach kissing scenes), leading some sleuths to think she went home.

Here is what I remember from other  past seasons was the focus of the season preview
Jillians - Kiptyn
Sean - Ashley F/Des
Ali - Chris L
Jake - Ali / Tenley (except the drama with Vienna was highlighted prior to St Lucia)
Ashley H - Ben and Ryan P (both prior to Fiji and that famous scene with him clearly seen)

We'll see what mid-season SCs they release of FDs/LCDs. Perhaps some dates did not take place at all like last season (Brooks no FD/LCD and Drew incomplete LCD).

ETA : The season previews are not the best to determine who is F1. In fact the opposite.
Now the Edits of the episodes itself is something to be noted. AND the media/blogs of the lead. For example, JP is talking about octopus to anyone that will listen lol. Why such a big deal ? That is the sort of clue I can get behind.

The octopus! Oh yes! That was the first time somebody other than Camilla refused to take what he was shoving in her mouth.

ND, I think that the season previews can and do tell who the F1 is, you just have to know what to look for. I have found that whenever I go back to watch the previews after the season is over, I notice that the storyline is laid out in the previews and I can "see" who the F1 is. Yes, they throw in some red herrings but there are also certain VO's, and scene transitions that can point to the F1.

Unless of course they deliberately turn everything on it's head, but I do not see the need for this. The people who spoil the season do not rely on the previews and those of us who go through the previews for clues are too minor to be bothered with.

OK guys - I think I'll wait for the season to end and then see who is F1 lol.

JBF : RE the octapus, its not that he was shoving it into her mouth like he does Camilla that was noteworthy for me. He has not stopped talking about it on social media. That is what is most curious.

...we're all waiting. The season has been both mildly interesting and maddening at the same time.

*chuckle chuckle* nd4reality, don't you think it is hilarious how many times this season Juan has been feeding ladies? Amy the massage therapist was eliminated on night #1 probably because Juan doesn't want fed himself... and she is shoving "breakfast" at the camera.

Litta, the cap of Juan and the girl on the boat, I always was positive was/is Nikki. The cap of Juan and Clare crying is from tonight's episode (Vietnam).

What's going on with not being nice on Twitter?

We did consider that possibility back in the early days of our sleuthing. If you want to see the flow of things, start reading midway on page 4 of this thread. But here are the highlights of that discussion.

I think it's the same girl that's in this photo. Note the same background and suit color...and there's a metallic end on her bikini string. Who do you all think it is? I'm leaning towards Clare.

Then here was another post putting Clare on that boat with that suit. The conclusion by most of us at that time was that the girl is Clare.

ETA: I copied my screencaps to the No Discussion thread. It was easier than I thought it would be...so no big deal. I thought I'd let grace and the others copy theirs...so I don't step on anyone's toes.

JP got a lot of beautiful women! That scene probably goes with the one below. Although I have seen some other girls with bikini tops with that golden stuff on the string. Probably part of what they got in their goody bags.

As far as the other cap being from Vietnam, I can buy that, too. It's just that we have a similar conversation of Juan with Clare at that time with no fire in the background...so some thought it was at a different time. I'm open to either interpretation because I think the earrings could match.

The only thing that is giving me a little doubt that is Clare is the apparent height and slender built of the girl. Clare is a bit more "hippy" than the girl on the boat who seems to be more slender in the hips and stomach. JMO.
The height I could understand is if she is standing on a little railing - then Clare would be shoulder to shoulder with JP. Otherwise she is too short.
Both girls could be given identical types of suits. They did it in Emily's season with Jef Arie and Sean having 'similar' trunks.
What do you think ?

Without seeing their feet, I think it's tough to judge their height. Similarly, with Juan pressed up against her rear, it's tough to judge the size of her hips. Perhaps this cap can help people decide whose hair color and length best matches the "boat girl." Who do you think?
