What, Brooks had 2 full dates and a few group dates, and 1 hometown..total quality time together may amount to 2 1/2 to 3 days at most...he's supposed to know and confide that he's fallin in love enough to propose....ridiculous! I'm surprised every season there aren't more contestants like him who question the whole scenario. The guy's a thinker...I believe when he spied Des and James lockin lips in that igloo, he got a rude awakening!
I can't count how many times I have said the same thing!

Nothing is set in stone. Thank goodness! What would life be like if your first reaction was the only reaction you get for a particular situation or circumstance.

A man afraid to open his heart up for fear of rejection is not ready to be married. If it was a mutual connection he would not have doubted it or be worried about the other guys. Chris and Drew sure have no issues. He is good looking and probably very nice but this "game"is not for him. JMHO

That being said, folks are going to see what they want to see. Agree to disagree.
After watching every season of this drivel I will say this, if we see Brooks propose to Des next week the viewing audience is most certainly getting their "fairytale" ending.
I had a hard time warming up to Brooks because he's certainly not my type (Give me Drew, please!!) so Des picking him in the end would not be MY fairytale ending but it will be HER fairytale ending. She's loved him since the moment he wore that fugly green suit on their first date and when Brooks left she was incosolable. I look forward to hearing what Brooks has to say an what makes him come back and fight for her, but it will be for Des' sake.

I have no dog in this fight. No favorite. Was not a Des fan from Sean's season so was not incredibly interested. I am just kind of on the outside looking in this season - not invested in any of the guys. Maybe that's why I am picking up on some of the moments that I might have discarded in other seasons if I was invested in one or another contestant.
Time will tell.

SouthernMomOf4, you said what I did but worded it much better! This show is not for deep thinkers or those who process more slowly. His words after the "where are we now" conversation. He is extremely cautious. Not a bad thing but not a good thing for this format. I don't think the guy is bad but is out of his element which could end up in disaster if he returns and takes him back. He is not ready or at the same point as the other two. I seriously wonder how the other two got there so quick. That bothers me more.

I have said this before, I have no favorite. All I want is a believable ending to this..."dumpster fire"! I invested way too much time to this show over the summer. But right now the only REAL ending to me would be if Brooks comes back and is final 1. Anything else is a default....IMO!

Any contestant can't take the outcome seriously or set in stone...Brooks just isn't of the mind to get engaged on TV...give the relationship a good shot with the knowledge he could walk at any time!

well, when you put it that way......
so, so true. the word LOVE should never be taken too seriously on this show... and neither should the phrase "will you marry me"
