Anyway I just wish people would give details about these sources and what they're saying. Is there any proof? twitter? flights taken? I mean you would think Des would be meeting up with her F1 every week or 2. everything is so hush hush...it's driving me nuts.

Let me try to help you out. Sometimes you have a source that has been very reputable throughout seasons and years. This person finds out reputable things. This person does not tell you anything until this person has vetted their stuff. So by the time the info comes to you, your sense of reliability is pretty firm. You don't put out a lot of questions.
Does it mean that it's infallible. No--sh*t happens. I have a friend who is having brain surgery tomorrow for a brain tumor.  He didn't even know he had a brain tumor on Tuesday!! Stuff happens.

yeah the fact that everybody has a source all of a sudden is so funny but it may just be a coincidence who knows

How do you figure that everyone has sources is all of a sudden.  We had 4-5 all season.  I think there might be 1 new one lately.  All the others are just confirming that Brooks is F1.

All season long there have been spoilers that say Brooks is the F1 and that they are engaged.
There really haven't been ANY spoilers to say the contrary.

After Monday night's episode and CH's unflattering remarks
regarding Brooks in numerous interviews I questioned if
in fact the original spoilers by RS and others were true.

After reaching out to specific " friends" not on
this site it was confirmed to me that Des and Brooks ,as of yesterday , are  "still together and happy".

I can't speak for anyone else, but after Monday night I went looking for additional information and confirmation that they are indeed together. That's why while it may SEEM like all of sudden, it just happens to be the events of THIS WEEK that precipitated it.

I have a question and I apologize in advance if it's a stupid one. (I really haven't paid much attention to Des's season or read through too many of the threads...nor do I have reason not to believe the spoilers.) So here goes...

Is it a common experience for several posters to receive confirmation of the spoilers just days before the finale. It struck me odd this morning that at least four longtime posters (latergator, goldie2, Kasia and ??? was it nothernviewer??) have all received confirmation that Brooks is F1. latergator and goldie2's confirmation had very similar wording...perhaps they have the same inside source.

Can anyone recall a season where this kind of confirmation happens...and all within less than 24 hours of one another? It just seems like an odd coincidence. And it leads me to ponder why? Why now?

(Just to clarify, I'm not doubting the veracity that anyone of the above mentioned posters actually received the confirmation.)

ETA: I just saw that this point has already been partially discussed, but I decided to post it anyway...because I'd like to know if it has happened in the past?

I have no idea if my source is supplying spoilers to more than me, or is one single source or any of that.  I do know my source is not RS, or Love_me, or San, or Sophie or that strange first and only time poster who said Drew was F1.  I can't explain it more than that, many on here have known since I started posting earlier that I had a source and the spoiler I got was Brooks F1, Chris F2, and Drew F3.  I don't normally get other information than that, but I have not really watched and become this involved since Ali's season when I tried to prove the source wrong (Alberto F1, Chris F2, Frank F3).  I don't have details, but shared what I got as soon as I got it.

Maybe Fleiss let the news out to a few people, in order to promote the happy ending or in order to soften the blow. They might have been surprised at the reaction to Part I so they could well be scrambling. I can think of a variety of scenarios that would lead to a cluster of spoilers being released, or to one spoiler being released to a number of insiders.

If you watched objectively, you would have seen that Brooks was not all that much into Des. Even CH said so. Most of it was in her head. She was running so fast, she didn't realize that Brooks was crawling behind her. Pun intended ;)

I'll give you my theory on Brooks, but his diehard fans will hate it.

Brooks was sure he wasn't in love with Des. He was hoping she was further along with Drew and Chris so he didn't have to face her love assertiveness (for  a lack of better term) in the FS.
Now he finds out that she was going to choose him. He doesn't need any more time with her. For what? All he has to do is continue this charade, and Des will be ecstatic with a morsel of love. There isn't enough time to fall in love with ANYONE, Des, Chris, Drew, Brooks. He could just crash the party at the end.....WHY,  you ask?

Because as soon as he got into the limo his wheels were turning-HE HAS IT IN THE BAG. All the media, publicity, his life will never be the same. I'll bet James' conversation came in real handy now.

All he has to do is play the game with Des for a few months, and his career, love life etc will go up exponentially. As his fans wrote on this board in stone HE IS A DEEP THNKER". For once, I'll agree with this statement.

I was not a Brooks 'supporter' and in light of what we just saw, even less so.... and of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I just can't agree with your perspective.  I think it's fair to call Brooks wishy washy or spineless... but personally I don't think he showed signs of being untruthful or cynical ...  misdirected, yes, self-promoting, no.  

I totally agree.  

Ariela -- you may be on to something, but I have an adjustment. I'm not sure that he got into the limo and thought "Bingo! I can be a star!!" Maybe he did, we'll most likely never know! But I DO think that he got into the limo knowing full well that his image was harshly tarnished -- that America would view him as a jerk and then some -- and figured that it was EASIER to go back, apologize, fake his undying love, propose, and then hope that eventually she would lose interest in the real world. After all, that is what typically happens. I have stated before that I think he is not used to having to deal alone with any issues in his life -- that someone typically is there to bail him out. Faking a happy ending was the easiest move for him -- and he aided MF in making all of the viewing sappy girls deliriously delighted.

Just my very humble, yet realistic opinion.

No it's not realistic otherwise he would not do it in the first place, you guys can hate the guy but you know these assumptions are not valid and throughout the season you saw nothing that indicates what you are talking about imo but it's still you opinion though
