These sources don't ever seem to have any details. That's what makes me mad that people are getting their hopes all wrapped up in Brooks/Desiree being together.

Raise your hand if you think that Brooks said a lot more than we were shown on Monday and they just chose to show us all the negative stuff.. 


but that we'll see him say things like how much he loves her when they're together but how doubts creep in when they're apart... and how once they said their final goodbye.. that's when he realized he didn't want to walk away, how he wanted to pursue a relationship with her.  This is a heavily edited show, and IMO Brooks showed way more emotion than a guy breaking up with a girl would if the reason was that he could never love her.  And as to CH's blog and words... he works for the machine.. and if he's told to play up that Brooks is gone for good (which we know from Des's blog is not true) then that's what he's going to do.  I think that door is wide open for Des and Brooks to be together but closed shut for Des to choose Chris or Drew.  It's Brooks or Bust for Des.. simple as that.

all the stuff that is being thrown around about what Brooks said: to his mom and sister, to CH, to Des and what she said back... I wish that each of you would go back and watch it again with closed caption on.  what you might think you heard may not be there.  I really applaud the person who transcribed the one part of the conversation, I tried to but my fingers are not as quick as they once were and just couldn't get past the talk with his family.  but I did get that his fear when he talked to his mom and sis was that he was being asked to propose, and he just wasn't sure that he was there in his feelings to do that. for some reason he brought up that there would be a fd and he needed to somehow know before that. this really points to what handlers had been telling him, at least to me.  there was some sort of expectation that had been given to him regarding the overnighters.

What other info did your sources give you? so why did they initially say engaged? and did they not know about Brooks attempt to leave? Also why is Des's brother saying RS is wrong?

treschicas, this is the information that was sent as a text to me last night.  from the beginning I was told Brooks F1, Chris F2, and Drew F3.  I am taking this text last night to mean that Des and Brooks are indeed still together and happy.  I can't speak for Goldie, nor do I know who her source is. I had been requesting more confirmation following monday's episode, so this may have been given to me to shut me up or something  but I trust the source implicitly.

I do appreciate you passing this information to the board. It cannot be easy sharing something like this at a time like this.

Personally, it it were me - I would not trust a text or email even if it was from a "trusted" source unless I saw the proof with my own eyes. I am not as trusting possibly.
Therefore for me - no proof = no belief.

I would have bought into the information a bit if there was more though. Like when he actually returns or something like that. JMO.

I just feel sorry for Des if she is with Brooks. I guarantee he will break her heart again. I guess I personally wouldn't want to be in a relationship where I like the guy a lot more than he likes me.

I do not have a pony in this race and I have no emotional investment in Des choosing either Brooks, Chris, or Drew. I've thought all along that Des narrowed down her men and had a great group of guys at the end. I basically liked all of the guys as individuals. Still do.

I went unspoiled for weeks so as to filter things clearly through my own eyes without any spoiler influence clouding my vision. I came to the conclusion fully on my own about 4 weeks into the season that she was going to pick Brooks. I could just see that she had a stronger connection & chemistry with Brooks than any of the other men. She got that glassy eyed, in love look on her face when she was with Brooks. With the others she smiled; with Brooks she lit up. At that point, I decided to come back here to this board to join in the festivities.

For the most part, it's been fun to read the comments, but I can sense the mood here changing. As this week's finale (and the aftermath that is sure to ensue) barrels down on us, I hope we don't turn cannibalistic towards one another. Everyone should be free to express their thoughts and feelings about this show, without anyone else feeling attacked, questioned, or the need to convince others to "see the light". If somebody says something that you don't agree with, just shake your head and roll your eyes and move on. Who cares if we disagree? We don't need to be proselytizing for this stupid show, trying to convert viewers to the one and only Truth in order to save their souls. If somebody here is dead wrong about who the F1 is, but they are having fun blathering on, is that so horrible?

People come to this board for all different reasons. Some come on a fact finding mission. Some want to be right about the F1 so as not to be blindsided on finale night. Some come to ogle over the meat or have their hearts touch by a fig newton. Some simply come for the fun of camaraderie or snarking. No one way to view this show is superior than the others. In the words of Rodney King: Can't we all just get along?

Now that I got that off of my chest, I will say that I do believe she will choose Brooks in the end. This isn't based on spoilers (although I am not discrediting the spoilers or the spoiler-sharers), it is based on what I've personally witnessed from this highly edited show. I'm not saying that she should or shouldn't pick Brooks, either, because, really, what the heck do I know?

But I do think that if she did pick Brooks, there should never have been a proposal given or accepted. Go back and re-watch the scene of Brooks talking to his mom and sister and look and listen carefully. Then imagine Momma Forester watching the FDs episode and seeing what occurred during the break-up. Now try to imagine Momma Forester's reaction to Brooks getting down on one knee 5 days later and asking Des to marry him. Do you feel that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach? Yeah, me too.

all I can tell you atem is, let us worry about how wrapped up we get in this. you can't control that for me, any more than I can control it for you.

if at the end of this my source is 100% wrong, I will be ok with that, but as of yet they have been 100% correct for me. I don't expect anyone to just take my word, but if they have seen in the edit that Brooks is possibly the one for Des, and then they hear from her mouth that indeed he is her #1... then very possibly the sources are correct.  I have no idea how they have gotten from point A to point B, and that is the fun part of watching the show for me.

I don't ever remember people with sources having any details.  They just tell them who is the F1.  You either believe them or you don't   With this many with the same verdict I choose to believe them because you know MF will hide everything he can.  In this case we have less previews and SC than ever before because they want you to believe Brooks leaves and does not come back.

I have a few pet peeves, one of them is when a guy says "I'll make it up to you". Depends on your psyche, or self-esteem, some will see that statement as a glass half full (low self- esteem), I see it EMPTY.

Good post except I disagree with one thing. Mama Forester knows and trust her son and has told him they will stand behind him with whatever decision he made. If she watched the show Monday nite she saw the raw emotion from him breaking up with Des. You do not get that just from breaking up with her. I think she saw her son was after all truly in love with this woman. As much as they liked Des and said all good things about her, I do not think they have a problem with him being engaged to her because they know he was true to his feelings. IMO
