Last night we got 45 minutes of Brooks goodbye. Even if he returns they have set up an "out" for Des to save face in the end if we find out at the ATFR they are not together .
I don't believe he is ready to commit after last night.
Des even said she chooses the guys who can't reciprocate her love .
On GMA this morning CH said those exact words "Brooks did not reciprocate her love and there were red flags all season Des chose to ignore".
CH did not seem a fan of Brooks today on GMA.
Not a good sign that things are all rosy now
ahhh Goldie, now you know better than believe CH and the minions... they tell so many lies to so many people, it's like the fleas of 1000 camels. I recall another couple that tptb intervened and that man left early. the heroine would have given anything to have been able to talk to this person and tell him how she was feeling. for years after, although they moved on, they both have pined for the other. sometimes the heart just wants what the heart wants, and in Des' case she wants Brooks... and I think we will see in next weeks show that Brooks heart wants Des.

Do either even get the chance to propose? Does Des just tell the guys and then leave....and of course does Brooks come back in the picture and end up with Des??!?!
I have to admit, I'm dying to know, too, above anything else, and am really happy it's Wednesday. Monday is getting closer!
I'll just steel my Brooks-loving heart for some possible run-overs.

But normally when someone exits we know the reason and they are setup to be the one to hurt and humiliate the lead. Not this time. This time, the guy who exited is the spoiled and beloved F1 who apparently had no signs of bailing (unless we count the sleuthed SC of BSG !).
It seems like that is the problem this season - the dumper of the lead is not the bad guy or rather not been painted as a bad guy (like Frank, Bentley etc. who we knew from the get-go they were going to dump the lead).
Its all perception.
I wasn't that surprised he bailed...I always questioned how much he liked her....I was more thinking if he did bail it would be after the show. I think one of the big reasons why people are surprised he bailed is simply because of the spoilers out there that he is F1.
Anyway what Brooks did was kinda like what Brad did in season 1....he just wasn't in love and was honest about it.
I think he might be in love, though, and after this break-up and what she said, he is now realizing it on the show.

CH interviews today were very telling of what's to come.
Brutally honest. Not flattering to Brooks.
This will not be a happily ever after for Des and Brooks next week after all of CH remarks.
Nope.
I would take anything CH says with a small grain of salt. He is a puppet who's strings get pulled by the machine.
actually I disagree....whenever i read his blogs I feel like whatever I gather from them ends up being kinda true...aside from him saying "this is the most dramatic blah blah yet." I feel like I can kinda tell how the ending will be based on his subtle comments he makes.
I think you're right. I also believe that there were other words he could have used to describe Brooks if the machine wanted him to do so. How about CH saying that Brooks was conflicted, being real and true to himself and having integrity? Those are the things that fans of Brooks have said here. So why not use those words instead of "wishy washy"? That's a very derogatory term.
CH is going to try to keep up the suspense as to what happens next week. He will toss out some possibilities and not try to rule anything out. He may give out some subtle clues in what he says. But the things he said in the two interviews were quite telling.

Exactly...I mean I understand he doesn't want to give away the ending but at the same time why would he say things that would look bad for the end result...if Des were with Brooks I would think he would recap the night by not being so harsh. I feel like Chris does like to give us some accurate hints...cuz if he did the opposite then later we'd all think he was an idiot and not care to read his blogs in the future.

I think we have heard one of them: "I am in love with Des" was heard last episode when I think I heard him actually say "I am NOT in love with Des." I think that one had been frankenbited.Piper61 wrote:I think some proof he comes back are the VOs we've heard during the season that say, "I am in love with Des" which was like a revelation and "I'm as in love as I've ever been" which also could be an indicator that he realized that he feels the way about her that he must have about the woman he was close to marrying in the past. Many people believe that is Brooks saying those things, and I agree, especially with the first. Also, the close up SC of him crying...why show that for starters, and why such a close up shot to basically hide everything since everyone knows he broke up with her, and was supposedly leaving.
His return is tied to what CH pointed out about HTDs, and specifically what questions his two brothers asked him. It will come full circle.
I also still wonder why Des made the comment about her AC hot tub moment with Brooks in her blog from an episode that did not show it. Why? Possibly to thwart hurt feelings when he would see her in the FD hot tub with Chris and begin imagining what could have/may have happened?
The other one that you seem to think he said: "I'm as in love as I've ever been" some feel is actually Chris. So no real determination of that one being Chris or not and if it is, then that changes things as well.

Concerning Brooks' idea of love: Maybe his problem with Des is that he's looking beyond the mark. He says he's looking for this explosive, painful, pining love. I was like Brooks in thinking love is painful, because it always was, because it was never right and good. But I found, when I decided to marry my husband, that love is a lot less dramatic and painful than I thought and I can see why it's easy to overlook. I was just smart in following my gut feeling when it came to my hub, because I was also still being stupid at the time. I think Brooks is overlooking the mark, but losing her will wise him up real quick, and ironically give him exactly what he thinks love is—pain.
CH is just being truthful when he calls Brooks wishy-washy because he is and has been on this show. It sounds like a put-down, but it's the truth. It's not a total put-down when it's also an accurate description of how he's been on this show the whole time. It's a fact, if anyone is going to be wishy-washy and come back it's going to be Brooks. I don't see how else he could've described it, and I don't consider it as CH putting him down and not liking him. I think he probably likes Brooks just fine. Who doesn't? Brooks confuses me, too, while watching his parts of that episode again, and I like Brooks. He is saying one thing with his head and another with his heart. He said he was leaving, but didn't show it. He said he didn't love her, yet he didn't want to leave.
And it is true what CH said, too, that his maturity level isn't quite there when it comes to love, compared to the others. He's missing the mark. He needs to grow up a bit. Maybe what his brother said is prophetic (we can't forget that CH might've alluded to that). He will lose her completely and that's when he will see that that is what love is. Then he'll be willing to make a fool of himself on national TV to try to get her back, and risk the possibility that she'll make a fool of him. Which, once again, is pretty admirable.
I am wishy-washy, like Brooks, and torn between believing the spoilers and seeing all the evidence that he is not the F1.
Maybe Des opens her eyes to someone like Chris after that sweet story between Brooks and Des is over, or maybe she really is saying that she could never give her 100% to these other two people. She definitely says that to Drew. Drew is gone. But we don't see her say it to Chris. Maybe she'll stick to that with both, or she'll find she can give 100% to Chris after all—and moves on. Or, maybe the guy she has loved, who is described as "wishy-washy" wins her over because she sees how he's learned and grown.
Maybe that filming that went on in Seattle for Chris really is him being the next lead. That actually makes more sense. And Brooks coming back after he finds out what love is and Des understanding makes more sense, too. Why? You hear her say that right after Brooks breaks up with her she has happy tears. Unless she totally has an epiphany and her heart blooms and blossoms for Chris, the only thing that could turn her sad tears to happy tears so quickly is Brooks. If she does end up with Brooks, all I have to say is lucky-y-y. He's a very worthwhile guy in a lot of ways.

According to that L & S article Desiree and the guy she accepted the engagement with are still together.
I don't think it's Brooks though. I wish it were.
