LOL, love that analogy! I do agree, I think that Brooks will not return this season as he just can't commit.Kashathediva wrote:SusieQ wrote:I feel so bad for Brooks.
I do, too.
It seems as he developed from embryo, fetus, baby and to grown adult his skeleton system never completely developed and solidified. He has failed to completely develop a spine! And now as full adult male it seems he has pasta spine syndrome! One of the main symptoms is being mealy mouthed and tends to wishy washiness, can be found primarily moving from job to job and living with family.

Yes, definitely. Or she just turns him down because she's done with him or grown up already. I've always thought that was one of the "shocking" possibilities.

So that could easily go towards Chris OR Drew.grace8136 wrote:SusieQ wrote:BarbB222 wrote:atem wrote:Desiree's blog indicates it's all about Brooks 'and the remaining men'. Not that I think he's final 1, but it would only make sense if he's either coming back or she let Drew out so early that it seemed obvious she was picking Chris. S.
However, WetPaint describes the ring that the rejected f2 guy gets for Desiree. That and a voice over from Brooks only fits him coming back.
Also Des' VO saying, After THIS , he better get down on one knee and propose. Curious thing to associate with Chris if he's F1. It could only apply to Brooks.
True. That comment, if it is Des' and this season, and said in that way, applies to Brooks. I can see her saying that after he comes back and she decides to give him another chance.
I honestly can't wait for her to grill him a little and make him squirm. Good stuff. But poor Brooks, too.
The quote is "After tonight, I want him down on one knee...." Not after THIS.

Either of the above would be fine with me.

Yes, you do. IMO. You have been attacked a few times too many this season. Thanks for your honesty Kasha!Kashathediva wrote:nannymargie wrote:Kashathediva wrote:SusieQ wrote:I feel so bad for Brooks.

WOW! I can understand that you don't like him but that is pretty low when you don't even know him.
My post has nothing to do with whether or not I like him. Rarely do I get that far with any of the cast, as you are right, I don't know them. I say rarely, as some I do get to know.
So to say I don't like him, is an incorrect interpretation, I don't care either way enough to like or dislike him as he and I do not have a relationship. My postings are a commentary on my opinion based on what I do know about him and see on my screen. I am not the first to call him wishy washy--CH did himself.
When you make the choice to put yourself out there--you are a target for all kinds of snark and opinions.
As far as being "low", believe me I have restrained myself this season on all fronts. I think I deserve kudos for behaving!!!

I didn't appreciate how she described Brooks, either. I somehow don't think she's accurate since she doesn't even know him, and even if she was I don't think it's very nice.
I think Brooks showed great backbone by having the guts to think, having the strength to decide he was going to leave and having the guts, again to follow through with it and the strength to not let her or his own still strong feelings sway him from his course—because she did try in her way, to sway him. I know that I would've had a very hard time doing what he did. He had more backbone than I would've had.
Now, will he continue to show himself well the next episode (if at all?) I hope so.

I didn't get the impression that Des' tried to sway Brooks. I felt that she said a lot of the things she did to make him feel guiltier and even worse than he already did for breaking her heart.

You're probably right. She did let him go. Once again, more backbone than I probably would've had in that situation.
Ack! I hate to think about it. It makes me sad to think of how she was so lovey dovey to him and then he destroys it, destroys Bres for all the fans. If he'd just shut up and played along then Bres fans could've had their real or fake happy ending, like every other season. But no, Brooks went and had a backbone.

Do we have a source that Des is in fact engaged? Did she actually say that during an interview?
