I do, too.
It seems as he developed from embryo, fetus, baby and to grown adult his skeleton system never completely developed and solidified. He has failed to completely develop a spine! And now as full adult male it seems he has pasta spine syndrome! One of the main symptoms is being mealy mouthed and tends to wishy washiness, can be found primarily moving from job to job and living with family.
WOW! I can understand that you don't like him but that is pretty low when you don't even know him.

She wanted a man who could communicate his feelings but needed Brooks. Just a thought.
That is just awful even to read. So basically she settled.
Not really, She has always gone for the man who couldn't communicate and on this journey she wanted to change it up and find someone that could, however the person she fell for still has that flaw.

No, settling would be choosing Drew or Chris. Her heart is with Brooks so I don't call that settling.

I can understand what Kasha means. You don’t need outside approval to love someone, not even your family, or mother (ESPECIALLY). In that sense, I wish he had acted with more of a backbone.Though perhaps if Brooks had been emotionally available he would have allowed himself to be open for Des and be more decisive in his feelings. That is, wether or not he loved her.

i read that statement as she "wanted " Brooks, but maybe she chose Chris which is what she " needed".
Brooks is like all the guys she's gone for in past - he does not reciprocate her love.
She's more into him than he is into her.
Whereas Chris is a man who loves her even more than
she might at this point- which is what she " needs".

My post has nothing to do with whether or not I like him. Rarely do I get that far with any of the cast, as you are right, I don't know them. I say rarely, as some I do get to know.
So to say I don't like him, is an incorrect interpretation, I don't care either way enough to like or dislike him as he and I do not have a relationship. My postings are a commentary on my opinion based on what I do know about him and see on my screen. I am not the first to call him wishy washy--CH did himself.
When you make the choice to put yourself out there--you are a target for all kinds of snark and opinions.
As far as being "low", believe me I have restrained myself this season on all fronts. I think I deserve kudos for behaving!!!

A thought has occurred to me that the reason Chris H. is being so negative is that Des may have chosen Brooks but he continues to question his feelings or their relationship after. Maybe it's been a struggle like it was for Brad and Emily???

Going with either of the 3 is settling, and more so with spineless Brooks. Des loves Chris and Drew like Brooks loves her. It's a circular settling.
Brooks didn't need to break up with her for 45 min on national TV. He said some pretty hurtful things, that could scar a person forever. Des can brush it off for now because she's not thinking straight, but if she accepts Brooks' proposal there is going be this nagging feeling in back of her mind as time goes by. The slightest fight can bring out her insecurities out, in the REAL WORLD.
I'm just being protective of Des, not hating anyone.

IF she did the bolded then yes she settled. Regardless if her heart was with someone or not. Her intention was to break her old patterns of behaviour and she picked exactly her old pattern. Someone unable and unwilling to communicate effectively. She settled.
Huge IF again though.

I've noticed that Kasha, and after reading your posts this season, I had been wondering if you were on sugar pills. Glad to see you are doing better and are becoming your old self again. Many kudos to you!!!
