You are right. Its just that I've invested an entire season to watching and cannot believe I don't want to watch 2 great guys get lead on even farther while seeing a girl who I had so many hopes for fall back into her old familiar patterns.
I can understand what you are talking about nd, but it happens every season... if MF were to see your post he'd say, Booyah! so sad too bad.
but I do understand as more times than not in the old days I've been on the F2 or F3 side of the coin.
This is not about being on the wrong side of the coin at all. It is about cringing when you see a girl who wanted better for herself and has said that over and over in interviews and in PIs on the show - go back to her old familiar yet damaged patterns of behavior.
Obviously there is always an F2 and F3 though never have we had both dumped in the same episode . We always have at least 1 (sometimes more) guy/gals strung along for the ride and seen them heartbroken on the final day.
This is way different. Its good that you Brooks fans continue to wear but sorry it just isn't a beautiful romantic fairy tale ending you guys are celebrating.
That is what makes it difficult to watch.
Perfect post, nd4!! This truly is a farce, BUT at least there will be plenty of folks in the "Fan Forums for Des and Brooks" even long after they've broken up. I appreciate your realism. Thanks!
And there will be plenty of us on the other threads snarkin our heads off.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, bye Felicia!

We see them at the beach and on a horseback ride. IF Des was getting rid of Drew, why go on the horseback ride first? Why not go to his room and let him go there? That is the part that makes no sense. I think the talk is more on the lines of Des letting Drew know what happened to Brooks and it throws Drew off. I think they talk about it and hash it out. I really don't think that Drew leaves after the talk on the beach. Remember, he was suppose to be let go at F4, then F3 after a bad FD, but is still there at F2. Does he make it to F1? This is assuming of course that the spoilers are incorrect. IF they are correct, then fine, but to assume that talk on the beach is her letting Drew go, I think is a big assumption at this point. I think that there is more to Drew's storyline that we just aren't privy to right now.northernviewer wrote:going by sc's, I have doubts that Drew even gets an LCD - it might end in a similar manner to Brooks FD.... they talk about Brooks and he leaves. I think whatever happens during that conversation we see in sc's is the reason why Drew is being treated the way he is by the edit and Bach nation in the post show media.

Minute 1 is also a reference to the chat that Chris has with Des regarding Brooks. That would be the shocks as she is telling Chris what she's thinking. Also, minute one could be the pier and Des crying. It may have NOTHING to do with Brooks returning.Cecilia wrote:reidaddict wrote:Well there may be a lot of stuff to get to in 2 hrs but Millsy just tweeted "Who's ready for the second part on #TheBachelorette finale on Monday? The shocks start from minute 1." So I guess they ain't wastin any time!!!
Right. Minute 1. Brooks hasn't left.

nd, thanks again for your post. Somehow the tend to get everyone at some point in time. latergator: I am curious as to how you think people are jumping at the conclusion that Brooks doesn't love Des. To me when I hear a guy telling someone he doesn't love a girl, be it his mom, sister, Chris Harrison and finally the woman herself; How are you not suppose to believe the guy when it comes directly from his mouth???????????nd4reality wrote:latergator wrote:nd4reality wrote:latergator wrote:nd4reality wrote:

ahhhh, nd...no then we are not on the same page at all.
have you gone back and really listened to what went down this past monday, I'm not kidding, put on earphones, turn on your closed captions, and see if you can to read what is being said. people have jumped to the conclusion that Brooks did not love Des, and that is not what it was all about to begin with. start with his arrival in Idaho and then go forward. not that it will change your mind, but perhaps give you an insight as to his thinking and why he thought breaking up was the best thing for Des. it was obvious to many of us that he was in love, but unsure what that looked like, and it didn't look like he thought it should. needless to say he was analyzing everything.
oh well, I can't convince you or anyone else what I heard and saw, so I might as well quit. plus, if Des gets her heart broke after picking Brooks at the end, she will survive that as will he. it is her show, her life and her mistakes to make. I didn't listen to what people were telling me when I chose my husband, and am I ever blessed that I didn't.
Honestly I think I would have to be paid to watch that over again. Cannot do it. I appreciate the pointer as to his reasoning etc. but each of us has their own compass (moral or otherwise) and him on mondays show did not quite go with mine.
I saw and heard things that made me extremely sad for Des ending up with him so its all good.
As for me - I chose not to go on a TV show for others to judge my relationship so will have a great camping weekend and then come monday - decide if I should watch at all or not.

Come Monday night when all this is over four people will have to move on with their life. I hope the press keeps it civil although I doubt it but I hope they can allow theses four to find a new normal.
A poster made a good point about Des wanting to make a better life for herself and it sounds as she had a difficult childhood while her parents struggled. She has worked hard to overcome some big obstacles. Nate can't be easy on her after his past performance last season and I think that might be what is tugging at my heart. I don't see happy ever after and I wish her the very best no matter who she picks or does not pick. I hope all will respect that she did what was best for her and for her future. Sounds stupid but that is what this show should be about. While rejection is part of the package it is usually down to f2 and eventually f1 and the Bach. A very few make it but most don't. I don't know Des but I think she is a survivor and will be fine man or no man. The pain is not pleasant to watch. I can't imagine having it played out in public like it has. My best to all. I have no idea how MF sleeps at night. I guess it is all about the $$$

I hate this part of the show because people get hurt...it's inevitable. !! The last three guys are all awesome guys. But Desiree is in love with Brooks..she told him so. She said she didn't want him to steal her heart; she wanted to give it to him. She loves him.. I can sure feel the meddling from TPTB with all these troubles. This whole unfortunate scenario began with Brooks conversation with brother Dave at home in SLC with Dave asking what he would do if Desiree disappeared from of his life and was gone ~~how far would he go to get her back ?? He never had a chance to answer.. But, I guess now we will see on Monday just how far he goes to get her back . I really like Brooks..he was always my very favorite of all the guys. My heart broke for both Des and Brooks as they cried together . I know there's people who will hold a grudge against him which is up to them. I will stand by him as always. I can't imagine wanting to see her settle for Chris or Drew ..that's just unfair to everybody..What a low blow to them. Settling for second best is not right ...I want her to be with the man she loves and that's Brooks .. :cheerpom:

What if Des decides that two months and all the emotional stress of the season is too much for her to make an intelligent decision and wants to be on her own for a while to sort her feelings and may move on with a man not associated with the show or perhaps just focus on her career? Do you trust her enough to make her own decision even if it is not Brooks? What if it is Brooks and they split in a month? I just hope the "fans" will be forgiving and understanding. I think the girl has been through enough w/o all the cheerleaders voicing their displeasure if things don't go great for their "favorite". JMHO

I don't know if that's what people here are used to, but it certainly isn't something I would do. Over and over, people who support her decision and relationship with Brooks have said they want her to be happy. That goes for her time with Brooks, and if it happens, her time without Brooks. Somehow I don't think it could be any worse than some of the thoughts expressed against her and Brooks right now.Swissmiss wrote:Judiful wrote:I hate this part of the show because people get hurt...it's inevitable. !! Exactly. And that's what's sad about this situation. I do not care for wishy washy Brooks' behavior and I've been vocal about it.
I don't have a favorite. But head games are just pathetic. This show will put them through the wringer, and I despise how the bettes are humiliated on this how over and over.
Brooks played along until now to tell her that he wasn't feeling it. Then supposedly he comes back and proposes. This is just nuts. Is he trying to correct his behavior on TV(cuz viewers will crucify him), or does he really mean it? He lost a lot of time with her, so he doesn't know her enough to propose. The poor girl is so weak emotionally that if he throws her a bone, she'll take it....Gawh, how I hated when they were sitting on the bench while he broke it off, and she told him " I just want the simple things in life..." as if something is wrong with her. That wasn't even the topic.
I understand that many posters/fans want their fantasy ending and they want Bres together, but I find it sad when reality will come knocking Des will have more issues than when she started the show. She has a wound from him humiliating her on TV, and she took the Salt (Brooks) back.
