Or is he a hero because some of you think he is "totally hawt" and anything he does is amazing??
Decide whether you want reality or a manipulated and calculated love story. The two are not commensurate. If, indeed, you want the fake story that warms your heart for a minute or two, then I can be talked into agreeing with his "hero" description. For a minute or two.
WOW!
LOL.
I don't see Brooks as a hero at ALL. In fact, he should have thought about the possibility of being put in the position for a proposal BEFORE he signed up for the show. To me, having an OOPsie moment at f3-f1 when the lead is ready for a proposal is poor judgment, and lack of responsibility ( character flaw, FOR ME). I know that the other side of the coin is that it's a quick process on this show and he has every right to PONDER because an engagement is a huge decision. What I'm saying is that a solid person will think about how to saddle a horse to a cart before doing so, and not trying to stop the buggy while the horse is already pulling it. In other words, he should have been ready for a commitment BEFORE going on the show, like some of the men were(Zak). Instead he signed up for the fun of it, not thinking about the consequences. I'm glad he's not my DH....and good luck if Des took him back.
FYI- I like all 3 guys, but unless this whole thing is spun completely by MF, I'm not liking Brooks' behavior. I do know that he said some non-committal things during their cloud date, so there IS something wrong there. It cannot all be just mfg by MF.

I love Brooks, btw. No slight on him.
How funny. I really need a sarcasm button.

Gotta agree with 2 things -
1. The words "Hero" and "TB" just don't belong in the same sentence.
Hero is a very loaded term, and should be reserved for people who actually are heroes.
2. If you are a skipper or even a jogger, you simply should not go on this show. I know if I were on TB, I'd behave *exactly* like Brooks. And thus, I'd never sign up in the first place.
Unless I wanted to promote/expand my business or launch a singing career.
Well, actually, the singing career thing hasn't worked out for anyone yet, so scratch that part. ;)

This is the second time today you have mentioned this so perhaps it is actually needed. Most cannot understand the emotion behind a post - it gets misconstrued and misinterpreted.
Here you go though.

LOL if you were referring to me, I wasn't "set off". I was amused at how much of a stretch it is to actually use that term in this context.
Maybe I should have used

relaxing wrote:I thought the sarcasm in the use of the word hero was exceedingly clear. But that's just me. Have you heard the swelling music they played when Brooks returned from the hospital and walked into view at his hometown date? Those both made me laugh a little, like " TaDa here is Des' hero".
You know the music is one thing I never paid attention to. I read all the postings about what music was played and never once have I caught that. I must be tone deaf. So I am glad some of you'll describe what you'll are hearing with the music.

Great point.Pattycake92 wrote:See, to me, it doesn't matter if he was conflicted during the show as long as he honors the engagement after the show. Some of the most sincere proposals weren't sincere at all because they were not honored or respected in the real world. JMO

I think he will because he really took this process seriously. Him backing away proved that until he found out he made a mistake and wants Des in his life.
