LLiza wrote:The hero???? :puke: What makes him a hero?? Is it the fact that he wasn't able to decide if he liked her enough unless he was talked into it by his mommy and sister?? Or is he a hero because he left, then decided that he would look bad and came back to stop Desiree from crying?? Or is he a hero because some of you think he is "totally hawt" and anything he does is amazing??
Decide whether you want reality or a manipulated and calculated love story. The two are not commensurate. If, indeed, you want the fake story that warms your heart for a minute or two, then I can be talked into agreeing with his "hero" description. For a minute or two.
WOW!

Tell us what you really think, LLiza! :-)
Unfortunately, I think, with TPTB, no matter how it goes down, we are going to get manipulation and calculation! Plenty of discussion among past contestants to support that the contestants themselves are manipulated to within a inch of their lives.... So either way and every time, the ending is tainted on some level....and where is the reality in that? I mean that's what the producers are obviously going for, right? The drama, the Drama, the DRAMA!

He's not a hero. He's a normal guy who got freaked out by proposing to a girl he knew for a very short period of time and within that time he spent long periods of time unable to talk with her at all. Then, when he was left without her he realized he had made a mistake and that he should take a risk, see how it goes. That's my take.

Yeah he's not a hero in my eyes either. Nor do I find him the least bit hot.
He's just a guy that they got to follow their "Cinderella" storyline. If she's in love with him - fine. If not - fine. I'm good either way. I'd just like to know what really happened.

Wow, burn to Brooks. Brooks is a good guy and he was trying to do the right thing. Nothing wrong with counseling with people who know and love you and who have been there about a decision as important as who you're going to marry.
And as far as what happens . . . we really don't know and should reserve brutal judgement. In fact, I think we should altogether because he's just a guy trying to find love like everybody else.
And FYI, I never use the term "hot" and have never really used the term "sexy" to describe a guy, either, but I definitely think Brooks is sexy as all heck, gorgeous and like Des said, downright adorable. But . . . I also just really like him, his personality, his style, his charm, his grace, his sarcasm and humor, and his writing abilities. He also seems like he treats people well.
