What I don't get are people saying they are A-OK with her picking a default (and everyone knows she would be) yet it's not ok for her to let Brooks fight for her.

Has anyone said Brooks doesn't have the right to fight for her?  But his actions don't seem like those of a fighting man.  Let's see, he delayed his arrival in Antigua so he could run home and cry on mommy's shoulder cuz he's not sure he's really in love. That right there should disqualify him.  Then when he finally shows up in Antigua he does something that devestates Des.  If she has any brains she will say "Hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back no more no more no more!"

I agree with you! The point is that Brooks is NOT fighting for Des!  In fact, he is doing just the opposite in running as far away as he can. Now we know that he didn't go straight to Antigua, but had to talk with his mother one more time after the HTD.  What is going on with this guy?  Then it all falls apart when he does go to Antigua!  

If this is fighting for someone, then that is the worst part of it.

Gee wait I'm wayyyyyy behind... So Brooks didn't fly with the other to Antigua after HTD's? How do we know this? I'm not questioning it's truthfulness, just wondering how and who found out about this...This makes my head spin... LOL

It was in the press release. I guess it is all open to interpretation. In reality, I think they just film it right after the HTD.


Meanwhile, Brooks is back with his family in the U.S., torn between his strong feelings for Desiree when he is with her and the insecurities he feels when he is not. His mom and sister offer heartfelt advice about the tough decision he is facing. Desiree is everything he would want in a wife, and there is no denying their emotional and physical attraction to one another. Brooks wants to make sure that, if he is the last man standing, that he has the confidence to put an engagement ring on her finger. After his mother and sister express their fondness for Desiree and their thoughts about her being a perfect fit for their large, boisterous family, the bachelor, now with the reassurance he needs, boards the plane for Antigua.

So interesting that they show his mom and sister rooting for them! Ha!

I wouldn't be surprise at all if she is.

Ali has frequently stated, in her blogs, that she thinks Chris is F1. Now Jillian has gone from Chris, to Brooks, to Drew, to stating she doesn't think any of them are for Des long term.

So many assumptions !! I prefer not to throw anybody under the bus in a guessing game. I do believe Desiree will end up with Brooks because they are totally in love with each other...I would never want her to settle for less with somebody else.  Settling sucks !! Brooks is an amazing guy who has always remained my absolute favorite, but I refuse to find fault with Chris and Drew because of it..That's just wrong in my opinion...

Great point Veg, and it definitely sounds familiar.  Also, did you notice that Roberto got the 1st FD?

I did see that. I love all of her F3, and it's impossible for me not to love Drew esp. after his HTD. It's hard to read the edit any further without additional footage of the relationships.

At this point, the best read of the season outcome would be the edit and any sleuthing done to find the true story. I just hope that Des is happy.

Does anyone think she could have pulled the plug at F3 and either quit or rode off into the sunset with F1? If this has been discussed I apologize. All of this is strange but I assume the shocker has nothing to do with Brooks "leaving" coming late or whatever. They are setting it up to appear that way & IMO in MF world what you see in previews is usually nothing near what happens! Very strange & kuddos to them for actually keeping it a secret! Not good for spoilers but it has been a while since RS didn't get his hands on the details (usually from this site) before the end! Gonna be a long 2 weeks!!

In a sense, I always suspected she does mess up the ending like this somehow.

I think he's not sure how he feels, as usual. Poor Brooks. Dude is supposed to be madly in love after two 1v1 dates, a few dates where she's kissing all the guys and spending little time with him, and after she meets his parents, where, once again, they're not necessarily spending a lot of time together, and no other contact. Now he's supposed to be madly in love and ready to propose. How did the others manage to do it in that time? It's a little far-fetched for even fast-movers.

I think he's just not sure. That's what it sounds like based on Chris saying, "So you're telling me you're not in love with this girl?" I assume he's talking about Des. I suppose he could be talking about another girl, but I think it's more likely he's just not sure about Des and wants to address it. He doesn't want to hurt Des.

I meant she might mess up the ending because I could see her not really following the pattern of dates, etc. Maybe she will, but I could see her just scrapping it all at F3 and riding off in the sunset with the F1. I think she wanted to, with Brooks, and I think, at this point, Brooks was well aware of that and knew he had to address things now.

Now how Brooks gets from there to F1, I don't know. I can see why he does when it comes to Desiree, but how does he get there? Maybe just a wake up shake?

The whole Brooks not loving Des and Des loving Brooks thing is solid proof of one thing.  It’s solid proof that ANYONE who tells a girl they aren’t sure if they love her will cause her to love him regardless of what he looks like, acts like, his sexual preference, size of his creepy family, etc.  She is in love with not being loved which is called self loathing.  Fear and Self Loathing in Salt Vegas.
