What I am really curious to see is how the ratings will do this coming week when The Voice isn't on anymore. Because I am a fan of the show my hope is that the ratings improve. Otherwise, I fear it will meet the fate of many of my other beloved reality shows that are no longer on the air now. Due in large part because the ratings for those shows were atrocious.
I would imagagine they would have to do a lot of Promo to create buzz this week.
I think they already started that with showing the "worst date ever" promo.
It's useless.

Even Chris Harrison blatantly agrees this season (or Des) is pretty much "boring"

Just for once, I would like the machine to take responsibility for itself and not throw their main under the bus in some way, shape or form.
The format of this show needs shaking up in some major ways. The formula is old and stale. The dates are repetitive. They really don't incorporate twists like other reality shows constantly do to keep it fresh. The staff is kept "in house"--meaning no free lancers, no new blood.
To blame Des when she connected so overwhelmingly well with the viewers last season is lame. Her edit could show lots of razzle dazzle and spitfire--again IF the machine wanted to show that.
Des could actually be like Bernie in the movie Weekend at Bernie's and the machine should be able make her a live wire with the technology and magic at their hands.
Please Chris---you are boring.

Agreed. It has become so repetitive to the extent where it's almost feels like just a damn game. And especially this season, just because they didn't have any drama, they are creating some unnecessary drama among the guys to pull some attention, when actually, it's failing. It's not even remotely closed to being believable (I mean seriously, who actually believed the whole Brian's girlfriend drama). How about instead you have the lead communicating with some of the guys we haven't seen her communicating with? Maybe that will actually even put some rest to some of the spoilers and make it harder for people to guess who the F1 is.
I actually don't blame Des or the guys (arguable) for this season, now that I think about it. It's more of the producers. We need new producers.

:High clap:Well put! It makes me mad that the show didn't continue to let people know more about Desiree. Why not interview friends and co-workers, etc while filming was going on? Why cut out the scene of her making her own dress for the rose ceremony? Why not show her doing the stunts with the guys on the Western Date? It's always focused on the FAKE drama.
Oh, and I think Chris is way too focused on his own self promotion and not the leads.

The poems are nice but is that all they will show. Where is the conversations between him and Des?

'The Bachelorette's' James Case: 'If somebody tells you it's just for love, they have to be crazy'
James Case, the bachelor who just went on a date with "Bachelorette" Desiree Hartsock that involved touring sites in New Jersey that were affected by Hurricane Sandy, spoke with the press Thursday (June 20) about his time on the show, including the previews for next week that make it look like he's the center of some drama.
"I'm not too sure how I can answer that. I just hope people judge me on the merits and who I am and what they've seen thus far. Things can be said, things can be done and you just have to roll with the punches. I signed up for this, you just gotta roll with it," says Case.
"Stay tuned, right?", he laughs.
But he does add that he had many reasons for going on the show and that anybody who tells you it's just for love is not telling the whole truth.
"I'm living in a new city. It's hard to find a woman to date here. It's been difficult for me with work. I just felt like it was a great opportunity. There's multiple reasons why I chose to go on the show," says Case.
"The whole experience, if somebody tells you it's just for love, they have to be crazy. ... I got to travel the world, I got to do a lot of things, I got to do things people aren't able to do and I took advantage of that. It was amazing."
And out of the guys in the house, James agrees with Brandon that Brooks is the guy for Desiree.
"I think [Desiree is] a smart girl and I think she's going to pick the person that fits her. If I had to pick, it might be Brooks."
"The Bachelorette" airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
