He said on Final episode that he was "prepared to love like he's never loved before." Like Lindsay, perhaps he loved Emily for who she was and not "in love" with Emily.

Was this in an interview? Do you have a link? Would love to read the article.

I've always read that he said he has been celibate since college.

I just re-watched the clip. There was so passion emanating from Sean at all throughout the clip even at the 1:50 mark. The most passionate kissing i've seen from Sean was the scene in thunderstorm with Catherine.

Overall, just an observation but did everyone notice that Sean's conversations with Lindsay (esp during Fantasy Date and Final Date) were mostly reminiscing about past dates on the show ("do you remember the helicopter ride", "can you believe the wedding dress", etc. i.e. no substance or depth) whereas he discussed w/Catherine more about the future together. It was annoying after a while to keep hearing about the wedding dress and their first passionate kiss on the steps.

Motherof4, I just rewatched the finale last night and I agree with you. Based on his conversations and body language, yeah he definitely was way more into Cat than Lindsay. He initiated the kisses, and the conversations. He even said that he couldn't imagine being with anyone else on that date and that how so much better that he could share it with Cat. I love the scene when they were in the Hut when he put his face to the side of her her and she automatically lightly rubbed his stomach as If to acknowledge how he was feeling at that moment. Then he kissed her again and they just looked at each others eyes for a few moments more. I noticed that they did this a few times during the overnight dates and also the last date in the evening when he was about to leave I loved the way he hugged her head. Based on those dates I was certain he was going to choose her. Yes, the. most passion I saw from him was the kissing scene in the rain on the boat.. Cat liked it because on he VO she said that she was on cloud nine. I really believe that these two have a connection beyond the physical. And that sex is just going to be the end result of that bond. Some people believe that sex creates the bond and that it makes you closer but I believe with them it's the other way around. Personally, I cannot fathom, getting physical with someone who has no intention of marrying me. I know that it has become the norm in this society but it wasn't like that here 60 years or so ago. The moral decay in our society is manifesting in so many ways. Do you know that statistically 48 percent of babies are now being born to single mothers?

When Cat said she was more traditional in relationships, what do think she meant by that?

Brooke was Sean's girlfriend for 3 years.

In the radio interview that Catherine did with KIIS in Toronto (I believe) she spoke about not having sex... confusing one thing with another thing. What Pia1 said about their relationship being beyond the physical with intercourse being the end result is, I believe, what they see. I don't for a minute think it's easy for them. On the other hand, if he takes that so seriously with Catherine, his fiancee, how much easier is it for them to laugh off any rumors that might come up about Peta.

Lesley Murphy said...."the couple that does math together....." They want to build a relationship that's going to last a lifetime- yes, sex is part of that- but spirituality and intellect are also a part of that. They are working hard not to confuse the one thing with the other.

With the clip I posted, it was not in the kissing with Lindsay, it was in the words he said after the kiss. They had a little moment there. I agree that in the rainstorm there was passion, but it was awkward kissing so OK-I'll count that, but I could barely watch it. I am not commenting on whether he should have picked Lindsay. It was referring back to the remark about him being gay or not passionate for a guy. I don't think he's gay, but he sure does keep his passion in check. Maybe it was just because cameras were there and mom and grandma will be watching.

He has said that about Brooke a couple of times... her giving herself to him. I can't recall where. Maybe in the Priscilla interview.

I don't think that kiss with Lindsay was anything special or came close to the way he kissed Catherine in the rain, or at the LCD. The way he looked at Catherine and kissed her was very different than he was with Lindsay. Catherine said that kiss in the rain was the most romantic moment of her life up to that point. I don't think there was anything awkward about it. It was probably one of the most passionate kisses I've seen on this show....ever.

Pia1 wrote:I know that for Secular people (not Christian) it is very hard to understand his stance on premarital sex but in Christian circles it is not so foreign a concept. I am a born again Christian so I understand his faith a little bit. We believe that when we obey and honor God's word that he will enable us to do it.

I think this is why he and Cat live separately as it would be very hard to resist the temptation if they lived in the same house.

I have read some testimonies from other Christians who have waited to have sex until they were married and they were glad they waited because God blessed them for it.

We believe that God only intended sex to be enjoyed within a marriage relationship. I know that this is a very foreign concept in this society but that is what we believe.

My problem with Sean being celibate simply due to his strong Christian beliefs, is that IMO a person with convictions that strong wouldn't be caught dead going on the Bach in the first place, let alone being a lead on a show that has the reputation of being raunchy. I've always maintained that he kissed girls like he was enduring it, and not enjoying it, so I have no problem with the concept that he has homosexual tendencies.

Have to admit that when he did a Village People song on DWTS, my first thought was that it was fitting no idea
