I've heard that word on the street is that Sean knew exactly who he was picking, all that indecision was just him acting for the camera!! IMO he'll do and say whatever he's told to do and say.... and apparently he'll sell anything too. He's a freakin puppet, willing to sell himself out for some fame.

Ever been in a board room? There are a bunch of those puppets there too. Difference is they aren't doing it for fame, just money and the corner office! I agree, he is going for all he can get. Don't think it is too different than a lot of people. He just is doing it publically after announcing he wouldn't be doing that. A lot of people do that too only their words aren't being recorded for everyone to dredge up weeks or months later. I see him as a regular guy with stars in his eyes or perhaps $$$.

I think that's what irks me the most Peppermom - his schtick is that he's a virgin Bach, just looking for love, take her home, marry her so she can make apple pies for the church social on Sunday after worship. Sorry, not seeing that wholesome guy. Do I care that he's using the show to make some money? No I don't, but I do object to the hypocrisy of it all.

This is funny cause I don't see Catherine doing this. I think Sean is not the 'say what you mean, mean what you say' kind of person but he is still for me, the least 'douchey' compared to most bachelors/ettes.

I think he is just after the money or 'opportunities' as he'd like to call it. However one can't have the money without fame, one follows the other in this business specially among reality stars. So I give him the benefit of the doubt regarding not really wanting the 'fame' aspect' of it. Let's see :Smiley:

Thanks for adding fuel to my fire -- I wish we heard the truth from people who actually KNOW Sean and Catherine personally. Listening to "the street" is pure speculation and nothing more.

How do you get friends and family of Sean and Catherine to post on forums so people will not speculate? For all you know they are binded with some kind of non disclosure agreement. Even President Obama do not have that luxury (people defending him 24/7 so people will not criticize him). People will speculate on the lives of reality tv people. That's why you have to think 1000 times before you sell your soul to reality tv gods.

Honestly I think if someone KNOWS this couple the last thing they need to do is to be on the forums.

Well that's not going to happen, so this is the next best thing! Besides every now and then, I think we get closer to the truth by adding up all the little scraps.

They are a "nice" Christian family, but they also have money. And I know it was quite a shock for me to realize that I wasn't going to live the same way my parents do right out of college....I think our generation really struggles with entitlement and avoiding instant gratification. Maybe he'll do a lot of awesome things with the money, maybe he'll accumulate "stuff", or (most likely) he'll do some of both.

He's not a virgin. He never said he was. He got busy when he was younger and hasn't gotten busy since college.

I thought Ashley said in a recent interview (don't think I dreamt this, I'll look for a link) that she would have done dwts after her season (like Sean), if asked. Even before his diet pill endorsement, some of you called him a puppet, famewhore. I'm assuming you would have said something similar about Ashley had she done dwts, after her show aired? Wasn't she considered a puppet too? She helped drag the Bentley thing as far as it could go. How soon after the finale did she say that it was JP all the way? I know Ali waited a little awhile before confessing that there was no competition between Chris/Roberto and then most recently, she talked about roberto vs frank. Can we give Sean some time to spill the truth like we have past leads?

I don't even like Sean that much (although he's pretty hott now that he's leaner) but he's not worse than any other past lead we've had. I don't think the good, christian boy image he wants us to believe is any worse than Jason/Emily's single parent, I'm a good person shtick either.

Edit: BUT if some if you have inside knowledge of Sean, please share! Maybe he is a big ole' douchebag.

The Hydroxycut thing bother me too. He has tweeted that he has taken it before going to practice. He certainly doesn't need to lose weight especially with all that dancing so not smart if he is taking it. If he is just tweeting that he took it and isn't really taking it then that's dishonest. Neither is good IMO.

I think he is taking it (unfortunately). But it probably has to do with "quick twitch muscles"- because of the amount of caffeine in it. Many (and I mean MANY) world class athletes load up on the caffeine (which they are allowed, unlike performance enhancing drugs) to improve their "quick twitch". I don't think he's really taking it for weight loss- he's eating 12 in Subway sandwiches (we saw a picture of him with one)... and probably more calories (and carbs!) than he does ordinarily. (He drinks lots of coffee and I think RedBull- so as long as he lays off some of that it won't be too different than his usual coffee consumption. (And it's kind of hard to drink coffee while you're dancing, if you know what I mean).

Regarding Hydroxycrap, Sean received this gig due to his newly hired management, Talent Resources, which is owned and operated by a former nightclub promoter from Long Island, Mike Heller. Mr. Heller's company "brings brands and big names together for organic PR purposes"

Other funtastic client of Mr. Heller's: the lovely Lindsay Lohan. Ms. Lohan has been "signed up for" $100,000 "dates" with Arab sheiks and Chinese businessmen and such while under his management. His father, Mark Heller, represented Lindsay in her latest court case.

Just to round out discussion further, Hydroxycut is routinely recalled by the FDA due to hazardous side effects. It reappears as "newly formulated" crap in a bottle until the next pull.

Take all that as you will regarding Sean's judgement and career aspirations.
