Boring, I purposely took a seat against the wall and typing quietly so I look like I am working on "work stuff." Anyway, I pipe in when necessary. Ooops we're done! Woohoo! Post quick

The way I see it, CAT's life is not boring, it is going to be entertaining and adventurous. Yes it will be difficult at times as there will cultural differences but they will be keping it real and perhaps overcome it because they have the "IT" factor. Their personalities somehow meshes - and there is passion as we will see. If many people can get past the differences why can't they? If Sean can get past what Cat's sisters have told him, why can't we? I think the fact the he kept Cat at the last RC is very telling of what he felt for CAT at that moment, don't you think?[/quote]
I am also Filipino and married to an Irish-American. We have many friends (and family) in inter-racial marriages. Life is indeed much richer for us because of our differences but we are also very grounded because of our common values. My conclusion is that, if the people involved in interracial marriages are emotionally mature, share common values and dreams, the obvious differences will not be a cause of conflicts. As a bonus, my children, just like Catherine and her siblings, are gorgeous, if I may say so. I hope things will wor out for Sean and Catherine -- their children will be uber goodlooking.

Thanks for that. And yes I must admit of my little bias towards Catherine as my daughter looks like her. :cutesmile!:

Great post estahafa!
Estahafa, kababayan! *virtualhugs* I've many friends who are married to americans, too! And they've learned to compromise especially before they got married where they had to deal with LDR (Long Distance Relationships. Manila and U.S.).

Appreciate your perspective on this Catdwoman, estahafa, cari. I have always felt on this show...and in life...one can overcome many differences if people are willing to try. Communicate, be open and honest. Nothing I have seen from either Sean or Catherine thus far, makes me doubt that they would be willing to compromise and work at making this relationship....and the fact that they can laugh at themselves is a big bonus. Good luck to them.
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

Sprite, *hugs* Only read CatDWoman's post at the backpages and she was spot-on in describing our Filipino culture (which in imo, is actually a crazy mix if you'll try to understand us!) Hahaha
I've realized not just with watching the Bach/ette that Love knows no boundaries, no race nor color. Others have speculated that Jash would not last long with their seemingly irreconcilable differences. We've seen them despite logistics, their careers and how could we forget, their "religion" COULD have been a major obstacle, YET they made it work! My point is whoever may be the lead, whoever may be the F1. If they truly love each other, it's that love that will surpass any furnace of fire in the real world.
Eta CatDWoman, kababayan!

Me three...I am also a Filipino-American, married to a Scottish/English/German/French-American. I do not pay too much attention with my inter-racial marriage. What I believe are important in any relationship is being genuinely in love and sharing similar values. So having cultural differences and disapproving families are just a couple of obstacles that SeanCat may encounter in their relationship (if they are together). Just as long as they build a strong foundation in their relationship they may have a good chance in overcoming such obstacles. Hoping for the best for them. I am also biased, my children are all good-looking (one favors me, the other my husband and another an equal combination of us). I am sure SeanCat will also have gorgeous children.
