But I think the real key is that Catherine needs to get past the idea that the woman most similar to Sean is going to be the one he falls in love with. I truly don't think he's fallen in love with anyone at this point and sees potential with everyone left. I think Catherine just doesn't realize that he sees things in her that are like him- not in background, but in personality and interests. I don't think she could possibly imagine that the comment (which he probably didn't hear until he saw the playback), "I just need to pee and go", illustrates the kind of girl he's really interested in. That girl who really mourns the misfortune of her friend is also the girl he's interested in- the one with true compassion. Because you know? Sean is a man who is also deeply compassionate. Catherine's bio states that a most important quality of a man is that he can look beyond himself- and that's because she is a woman who does the same. I sure hope we see this come out in the episodes ahead- but somehow, I doubt TPTB will let us see it (just as they don't let us hear the faith discussions)- but thankfully, this is something we will be able to see as we watch them live their lives.

I agree I think that Catherine is the only one where I am seeing an actual relationship unfold, he is completely natural and different with her.

Also, AshLee pulled at my heartstrings this week

I think at this point Sean was tired. He looked tired to me. In his tweets he said he was in a car accident on the island and the day of the group date... the early sunrise, he didn't get any sleep.

I understand what you are saying but I am not limiting my observation to this episode. I noticed it initially during Episode 5 at the cocktail party.

Oh I agree Doc. I also think he was going though the motions with others and mentally exhausted and in St. croix he was physically exhausted. He is different--more real w/Cat IMO

Yes it's me laugh out loud

. I think if Cathetine wasn't there Sean might be doing a Brad 1. She's the only one getting a real smile, the others a fake smile.

That was a difficult week for Catherine .. On the 3n1 date she seemed brushed aside by the edit for the most part .. But .. Seams actions with her are definitely different .. They definitely avoided showing her reaction to the rose .. Very noticeable .. But the dolphin siting was a key scene for them

Her comment about Lesley leaving .. I think .. Catherine felt that she had the qualities that Sean was looking for .. But she was sent home .. which made Catherine very confused regarding what he is really looking for .. And the tears for loosing her BFF as well .. Notice they didn't show the toast as well

I think the Shay scenes were also some very clever editing to make that story line fit
