Honestly, I have to admit this is starting to really bug me to! It just seams like everything is just running together and no real story anywhere. Time to step it up!

I am hopeful for them, but yes, one 1-on-1 date and zero group date roses.

In the past I assumed (and was right) that the producers picked many group roses to shape story and throw out smokescreens.
This season, at this point, I am fairly convinced that Sean wasn't certain who the f1 was as of St. Croix. I might be very wrong, but he acts like he truly doesn't know.
I'm not sure if that is good or bad for their long term viability. But I don't blame others for being worried.

We need to see some love story and a lot less focus on the producers trying to hide everything.

One thing to throw out there: when Sean hands someone else a group date rose, we are never allowed to see Catherine's reaction. Is she disappointed? Confident because she knew how he felt and knew it was just more manipulation? No idea. It's telling she's never shown then. It's always someone else(usually Des). Smokescreen on top of an enigma. But what it means! No idea.

I noticed the same thing - in fact watched it a second time to see if I had missed something but nope the focus was on Des and seemed to be purposely off Catherine. Odd.

Well Sean is answering some twitter questions right now and he says he's currently happy, said Canada was the est date location so far, and dolphin is his favorite aquatic animal. Guess who talked about and saw a dolphin with Sean in tonight's episode? ;)

He knew Shay would be able to tell if she was real or fake.

He also knew Shay would know how to push her buttons as she's had lots of experience pushing his. I think they expected Tierra to blow up on Shay thus making it easier for Sean to send her home.

I'm still believing the spoiler, but it is interesting that Sean stated he gave Lindsay the GDR because throughout the entire process she's been one person who has never doubted. Sean stated, after he was let go by Emily, that he was able to get over her quickly because the woman he marries will not doubt that she wants to be with him. (Or something like that.)

Then Catherine ends tonight's episode with an expression of doubt. Though to be fair, the doubt was about what Sean was looking for and not about how she was feeling towards him.

I have to say, my heart went out to Catherine when Lesley left- and the other girls knew how it would effect her, how close they were, because they were so quick to comfort her (of course they were all going to separate within hours anyway- to only see one another briefly again).

But I think the real key is that Catherine needs to get past the idea that the woman most similar to Sean is going to be the one he falls in love with. I truly don't think he's fallen in love with anyone at this point and sees potential with everyone left. I think Catherine just doesn't realize that he sees things in her that are like him- not in background, but in personality and interests. I don't think she could possibly imagine that the comment (which he probably didn't hear until he saw the playback), "I just need to pee and go", illustrates the kind of girl he's really interested in. That girl who really mourns the misfortune of her friend is also the girl he's interested in- the one with true compassion. Because you know? Sean is a man who is also deeply compassionate. Catherine's bio states that a most important quality of a man is that he can look beyond himself- and that's because she is a woman who does the same. I sure hope we see this come out in the episodes ahead- but somehow, I doubt TPTB will let us see it (just as they don't let us hear the faith discussions)- but thankfully, this is something we will be able to see as we watch them live their lives.

For kicks, I went back to the RC lineups for the past few seasons, something Bloomers used to do, and the one thing that I remember her for sure saying was that the F1 was most of the time on the outside of the lineup, often separated from the others by the person being eliminated. The opposite end of the line is usually the F2 or F3. Excluding Courtney and Vienna, that holds true for both Bach and Bette.

At least at this point in the season, Cat wasn't F1. Dez was it, or Lindsay if that pattern holds any weight.

I think it just adds some support to the idea that Sean may not have known his F1 yet.
