Kasha, I think you could be right on why Des is gone at F4. While many of us think she's terrific, she may have realized that Sean was looking for someone with different qualities than her own terrific ones.

And, Carrie, Britt did seem to leave abruptly but that was probably fine for her. And it all reminds me of Corie (sp?) leaving at F5 with Jake. That boating date had to be among the most awkward in the franchise history. Corie was a smart woman who knew it was best to get out of there as fast as she could!

Actually, I am pretty sure I am right.
This is far from the first time and won't be the last. (that one of the running ran cold for the main--not that I am right. )
It was great during Jen Scheft's season and almost better when Graham left De. Now that was good unreality tv.

Right, which is why I think the only girl that Sean's really getting over this season would be Dez not Tierra. I think he did think her his front runner until her feelings for him ran cold.

I think so, too as in her being the frontrunner for most of the season. You can just tell by the way he looks and her and interacts with her. I can't say I blame him. While I think Catherine is adorable, I can honestly say Dez is probably my fav bachelorette .... ever. I hope he let her go because he could pick up on doubts she had about the process. It is the one thing I really want to see play out.

I second your thoughts. He tucked her hair behind her ear! I do think too that her waning feelings coincided with his gaining feelings for Ms. Catherine. I think the show encouraged that relationship and started to throw up roadblocks here and there for Sean and Dez.

He seems like he wants his girl all in as he is with her. His face betrayed him in Montana when she admitted that his actions and unpredictability shook her feelings. He didn't quite like that!

I don't think Sean is as emotionally fragile and insecure as DeAnna was. She pinned ALL her hopes on Graham, he fit her physical type perfectly. It seems his mysterious charming personality and playing hard to get (though he wasn't really playing) made De like him even more. She was crushed when he left.

I think Sean is a big boy and won't fall to pieces if Des checks out on him emotionally so he cuts her loose to concentrate on the women who want a chance to see if they can make it work in the real world. It's not like his top four are outstanding Des and three losers, he's a very lucky man. If Des doesn't want him then she isn't the right woman for him, no big deal. He doesn't seem the type to pine, ya know? I doubt he went into HTDs assuming she'd be the one and the season would be a waste of time without her there at the end.

Agreed- don't think he truly falls in love until Thailand/

Sorry, I'm a little behind on this thread and just wanted to comment on the bolded. I was driving home the other night and listening to John Tesh on the radio. The topic was how well men and women read body language. Basically, there was some study done where they would show pictures of people expressing different emotions and then have subjects figure out what emotion it was supposed to be. Result: Women were pretty much spot on while men sucked at it.

In my personal experience, the more a man likes a woman, the more nervous he is and the less likely he is able to read her signals. Women are generally more subtle in their signs and most guys just don't get it. They basically need to be whacked upside the head with the clue. The direct approach generally works the best...hence, once Catherine spells it out for Sean that he is not in the friend zone...it becomes full speed ahead.

Really? :shocked!: Isn't that after the HTDs? How can that be true love so late in the season?

Isn't Desiree the one who tells Sean in the extended preview "You are making a big mistake"? I have not seen enough of her HTD to know what took place that made Sean eliminate her at F4. It just seems like that isn't something you would say to someone you aren't into.

I thought Sean seemed more into Desiree this entire season until their last date. I think that 1-on-1 date reassured her his feelings at that time were genuine and real.

I think Lindsay and even AshLee were being considered to be the next Bachelorette before the season even started filming. Lindsay because of her bubbly personality and AshLee because of her backstory.

Lesley and Desiree become fan favorites once the season started airing though.

I am anxious to find out why Desiree was cut at the F4.

IMO If I was an unspoiled viewer I would think Desiree and Catherine were the F2 at this point.
