It sounds pretty dishonest to me.Jef said that his and Emily's relationship took a while to develop because it started as a friendship first. He told me that it was a strategy to keep Emily guessing and keep her on her toes when it came to his feelings at first. He said that all of the other guys would jump up and get her drinks and fight for time with her, but he took a more laid back approach and he thinks it worked!
could have been a little shout out to Emily based on the chat they had on the last episode. *shrug*
Jef & Emily openly discussed this issue in last episode. I guess we are looking for another reason why Jef is such a bad apple ...waoooh.
People Water need to add me in their payroll. It's very hard to be on Jef's side..
Girl, it's becoming downright hilarious
Go 'head Jef! Keep these folks pressed .
Waaay to go Jef!!!! I am proud of him. I am starting to enjoy seeing people so worked up about Jef. He sure is an interesting guy. Everything about him bring such strong reaction from people. I am glad he is happy!!

Obviously, it was a good strategic plan seeing as how it worked out. First by attracting some attention i.e. getting an usual haircut, then riding in on a skate board to make her take notice of him in a sea of 25 faces then playing hard to get and appearing to be aloof. She didn't have to take the bait and any of those things could have sent him home. His risk paid off.
I think it rubs people the wrong way because of the game play aspect of it has a contrived feeling to it. Like it's about winning a competition instead of finding love. Especially, when it appears that there are others there who just try to be themselves and hope that's enough for some kind of connection.
Let me stop being silly for a second and say that NCGal, I really love your thoughtful, measured responses.
Thank you. Most of the time, I am most fascinated by the inner workings of the show and the biz angle of it. Their moves intrigue me. This time I am quite bummed for sweet Sean as I think he's a keeper.
Sean is a keeper, he just seems like such a good man. Emily had some really good guys to choose from, I wish we could have seen more of them, get to know them a little better. All of her F3 are great, and that's the thing that sucks about this show is there's only one left standing and the others get hurt.

I love how one little thing is said and then it turns into a whirlwind of accusations of ever-increasing velocity.
My gosh. Jef just had an idea how he wanted to go into this experience, like everybody else. He said he wanted to just be friends first, and he was. And then his offishness paid off.
Travis had a strategy, as well. Maybe Arie's strategy was to kiss her as much as possible. Every season they all come in with a strategy of some sort.
And then he told her. It didn't seem to bother her after he told her. It still doesn't seem to bother her.
Jef is a very nice guy, a good guy, not a villain.
But, I guess this is to be expected because even more than ever you can't deny that he probably won. That interview was pretty convincing.

Does it have to be a full on hate Jef hate fest?cindebugg wrote:lavenderred wrote:Oh, I think the whole strategy thing from the beginning was dishonest. Very Jesse C of him.
IMO the good guys are the ones who go into the experience open and honest and don't play any games.
IA. A strategy like Jef's implies that it really wasn't about the girl but about seeing how far he could get. Since when did this place become a Jef fansite?

For the life of me, I have no idea how Jef is "polarizing." :greenman:

Did anyone notice on this link "The 5 looks of Jef", the last pic has a caption that says he serenaded her with his guitar in Bermuda--?? For real? Where did I miss that?
