Re: The Bachelorette 8 - Ratings thread
it will only compete with BB in the first hr -the second hr and AFRC won't be in competition with much. But being a Sunday will not help.

Re: The Bachelorette 8 - Ratings thread
I wonder how many of the folks who tuned in yesterday for the first time or who might have been taking a break will be motivated to return for the finale. That was not the best episode for pulling people in.

Re: The Bachelorette 8 - Ratings thread
it was horribly boring - and the sombre/dark atmosphere/music only makes it worse. the best part of the show was the outtake.
lack of anything coming for the FRC doesn't have me curious it has me annoyed.

I agree. I don't think it's smart to air the finale on a Sunday. =/
Now that Emily's season is getting good ratings, a Monday finale would be great and probably would do better than Ashley's!

In the demo? Because it wasn't higher in total viewers.Pierz wrote:On ABC The Bachelorette earned a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week and ranking as the night's top program in adults 18-49.

Another great week! Higher than Ashley's F3 episode!
I wish the finale wasn't on a Sunday, cause I do think it would get amazing ratings if it were on a monday. It will probably be the lowest-rated finale ever (it's competing with Big Brother!). :Frown:

yes, in the demo. And it had 0.1 million viewers less than Ashley's. After Ben's disappointing season and the natural fact that with every season ratings are usually lower, Emily winning in the demo and almost tying Ashley in total viewers is a sucess. At least for me.

But not for MF. Sorry, I just have the biggest dose of schadenfreude for him and the way he was so confident before the season that Emily was going to draw Jake-like numbers.Pierz wrote:Archer23 wrote:In the demo? Re: The Bachelorette 8 - Ratings thread
The "demo" is the share of the ratings attributable to people age 18-49, which is viewed as the most desirable demographic to advertisers.

I don't understand how Em hasn't gotten better numbers either - MF was frothing at the mouth to get her, but I think the bottom line is timeline - had this season happened instead of Ash's I suspect her numbers would've been higher. And I don't know why he would compare ratings numbers to a winter season vs. summer season. And I'll NEVER understand how Jake's season rated so well.

Re: The Bachelorette 8 - Ratings thread
This is the greatest mystery of all time. There was nothing compelling about him as a lead, and most of the contestants weren't that interesting ever. It still boggles my mind that the ratings for that season were so huge.anders wrote:Archer23 wrote: But not for MF.
