ABC's "The Glass House" premiere averaged 4.185 million viewers and just under a 1.6 key demo rating, but took a big drop at the half-hour.

I'm betting it took a big drop at the 5 minute mark... they just don't measure until the half-hour... rofl

The Glass House had only 3.98 million viewers! That's too low! Producers must be devastated! LOL

The 2 hour Bachelorette show last night had an 6.9 million viewers, which is considerable low compared to last year's ~8.1 million each episode. It is actually surprising because we keep thinking it is getting better towards the end. It is more likely to be stable at about 7 million/episode, compared to last year 's >8million/episode.

So far Emily's season:

Episode 1: 8.3 million
Epi 2: 7.7 million
Epi 3: 5.7 million
Epi 4: 6.7 million
Epi 5: 7.3 million
Epi 6: 6.9 million

Mike tweeted before the premiere asking how many of the viewers who did not watch Ashley's will be watching Emily. He probably thought Emily's number of viewers would double Ashley's.

And I think Emily is doing a solid job as a Bachelorette.

Besides the lukewarm reception for Emily, I think the storyboard and editing are to blame. The timing of the 1 on 1 dates and who has received them has been off. These dates help people pick a side and become invested. Besides Arie's, the other first 3 were just blah. It's been apparent from the opening night that she's only interested in 3-4 of these guys which often makes these dates for the Matter of Time guys almost painful to watch. JMO

I think it's the long-term show fatigue with a heavy dose of extremely bad Ben's bachelor season to blame for the ratings. Alot of people who were already fatigued on the show tapped out for good after the Ben debacle and wern't even going to return to see if Emily's show would be good.

the ratings are lower mostly because of agt(people wanting to see howard stern). Although agt ratings have not been that high, last year it was on tues and wed and the bachelorette did not have to compete with it.

But last week there was no AGT and viewership was also only 7.3, almost 1 million less than same time last year.

I agree that people may be tired of the show and want to take a break.

LOL. Millsy is so pressed about the ratings this season. This is the third time he's tweeted asking someone to revise their stories/headlines based on a small adjustment of the initial overnight ratings.
