On ABC The Bachelorette earned a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating, up two tenths from last week's 2.3 rating. The Glass House earned a 1.2 rating, up a tenth from last week's 1.1 rating.

Ashley's episode 8: 2.3 adults 18-49 rating

0.2 higher than Ashley's rating! That's great!
Everyone loves the F3 so I expect great ratings next week too! :Smiley:

Emily's 8 episode: 7.3 million
Ashley's 8 episode: 8.1 million

I guess the Nielsen ratings (2.3 vs 2.5) are relative to other shows in the same time slots??

and also Ash's episode 8 took place a week prior. Not sure if that makes a dif and there was no epi on the 4th of July, but the epi 8 for us Canadians. this is prolly a vacation week for a lot of folks.

Ash's episodes were doing consistently well with around 8.0 million (+ or - 0.1) per episode. Her opening and finale were very strong at 9.3 million (2.8 or 2.9).

In fact, first half hour of Ashley's premiere had more than 11 million tuning in, and her final half hour of her finale had 10.3 million.

Ashley's episode 8 took place in mid July. Her finale was 2 weeks later, on August 1.

yeah - I went backwards and it would've looked like this

aug 1 - Finale/AFRC
July 25 - FD
July 18 - HTD
July 11 - Hong Kong??
July 4 - no show

i could've sworn I watched the Hong Kong date twice since Canadians got a show n July 4 and they repeated from the previous week. It was def the episode that Bentley came back and Mickey left.

You did. The Hong Kong episode originally aired on June 27th, and was repeated the following week, on July 4.

but that math doesn't add up = the July 11 episode should've been the Group date that JP & Ash dressed as the married couple and he got the GD rose. That wasn't Hong Kong.

Yes, the July 11 episode was the episode in Taiwan with the wedding pictures. I think we got our wires crossed, somehow, but I was just confirming your previous recollection that the Hong Kong episode was repeated on July 4th, both in Canada and the States.

cool - so we can't compare this year's ratings to the last years ratings for this week since it was a repeat last year and Em's wasn't.

As mediocre as Ashley's ratings were, I wonder if the producers ever thought that Emily's season would be even lower. At this rate she might end up "beating" Ashley's record of the lowest rated Bachelorette finale ever.

The ratings should be interesting this next Monday as AGT has moved to Tue/Weds. One would think the ratings would go up.

I could be wrong, but I think Em's finale being on a Sunday night is not going to help. And the first hr will be up against Big Brother - which I will not miss.
