JL, not everything is live.. A lot of the main, more watched events are not shown until primetime at night...starting at 8 pm (est. time for me). Now I did watch soccer live...but gymnastics wont be on until tonight.

USA men's swimming, diving, water polo.... and all of my high school friends thought I was crazy to be the manager for aquatic sports. (3 years running!)
Love watching any Olympic events. Spoiled or unspoiled I'm on the edge of my seat during a tight race or close competition.

I watched the gymnastics and the swimming this afternoon. Sometimes I hate that I can't get all of the american channels but not now I guess.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

I know this is weird to say, but I could get behind the couple of Michael Phelps and Allison Schmitt. And if they had children they would probably be dolphins, or at least half dolphins.

I love when they show the digital models comparing Phelps' kick to a dolphin's paddle. The human fish.

I'm sorry, but Schmitt's voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me!

Mnm, I knew they'd do well from your post, although you gave nothing away! I never did look at the spoilers for tonight! And I teared up too! Another sap here and I'm totally ok with it!
And dang it if I didn't tear up again watching the relay and Phelps win his medal to make history again! Gosh did those boys fly to set themselves up for the win and him to be less stressed as the anchor with such a huge lead! Love that he told them to give him the biggest lead they could!
USA! USA! USA!
ETA: Sorry, no disrespect meant to all the other countries represented here on the board or competing in the Olympics! Just an overwhelming moment of national pride here!

I cried a few times tonight too....mostly for the gymnasts, then for Michael Phelps.
