The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

Actually, I now want the Mohawk Guy, a flight engineer from the NASA Mars team who's had his picture spread pretty widely after last week's Mars landing, to be the next Bach. Don't know if he's even single, but I'd like to see a smart, hot guy with enthusiasm and a sense of humor as the Bach, and he fits the bill.

As for the mohawk, no, I would not date a man with a mohawk, but I'm old enough to be his mother. This isn't about who I'd date. And he says he changes his hair for every mission. So we'd get different, more Earth-bound hair if he were Bach.

It will never happen, but that's who I want right this minute. Failing that, I'll take Roberto or Arie.

I feel the same way, LM. I just think of the 3, Arie has the best personality & sense of humor. I'd be excited to watch his season and more ho hum with the other 2.

I've always liked Roberto but don't find him all that interesting. He's a little too laid back for me although a very nice guy. I don't object to them having a minority pick though.

I think if it was going to be Roberto, we would have seen him at the charity event on Friday night instead of Arie. He attended in 2010 with Ali - that is where those pictures of her were from. They were not from the 2012 event this week.
The machine hasnt exactly been raising his profile , which they would want to do, prior to an announcement.

I wish it would be Ryan. It would be a funny season and the machine could jump the shark as much as they'd like while fans could still hope for a romance.

Which leads me to believe if Roberto is still in the picture, it's because the producers really want him and he's playing "hard to get" or is sincerely not interested, but they're still thinking they can talk him into it. They courted Chris L for a loooong time until they finally gave up hope of landing him. My impression is that either Arie or Sean will jump at it if offered, so perhaps the reason they haven't yet made a decision (if this is even the truth) is because they're still holding out hope for Roberto. I can understand why, fan base sizes aside, he'd be their first choice because of the mileage they could get out of the minority angle.

Not that you can believe much from US Weekly, they just tweeted that Lochte got a guest roll on 90210.

Another confirmation that he's out I would think.

1. I believe LaurenT, Roberto is out
2. Lochte was never a serious consideration. Millsy is quoted as saying he would be better for bachelor pad

Thanks, Kimmy, I guess that's for the best. I'm having a hard enough time as it is stomaching Bachelor Pad, which is probably what a season with Lochte would closely resemble. A whole slew of clueless Jamies getting humiliated and ridiculed all season by a smug himbo would be more than I could take. :vomit:

If Lochte does his own dating show, it will need to be on VH1. At the end he'll get to pick 4 women to be part of his rotating harem.

I actually think that will happen regardless (unless Arie is the bachelor, of course).

Well .. First choice seems to have been Roberto .. second Choice Sean .. And ??? Third choice .. Arie .. Maybe on to fourth or fifth choice by now LOL


Personally .. I would prefer someone other than Arie .. Just to bring some cohesiveness back to thos board .. A more united entity .. Instead of the huge split that exists now :( more neutral...
