And less than a week ago we also heard heard about Hannah sleeping with Peter four times in a windmill and saw her reject Tyler for Jed. So while it might be hard to see Tyler dating after watching him profess his love for Hannah less than a week ago, it should be understandable. Based on what I'm seeing on social media, though some expected him to run back to Hannah, a lot of people do understand. And this thing with Gigi is so obviously a PR stunt on her part, a leaked article about them going bowling, I can't believe folks are making a big deal about it. I totally understand if Hannah wants to cut ties with him, but that would mean she never was interested in taking in slow and being his friend and supporting him like he did her even when she was with Jed. Tyler spent time with Hannah. He didn't blow her off. Hannah said they are still talking but they are both single. All JMO
I want to throw in that Tyler’s weekly defense of Hannah on Twitter throughout the season might have confused viewers and Hannah that he might still be interested in her. No one forced him to do that (how many contestants ever do), so there was risk in strongly defending her if he wasn’t interested in her. On the heels of that it feels a little harsh to throw his lot in with Gigi and her PR machine. It just doesn’t feel like the same guy who was so enamored of Hannah while the season was airing and who went to bat for her repeatedly.
I think he was just trying to be a good guy and stand up for her. I questioned if there was any romantic feelings between them in the first place. The fact that she refused to have sex with him in the FSD told me all I needed to know. I think if Luke would have toned it down a notch or two, she would have taken him to the FRC along with Jed. I never saw "it" with Tyler and his BL was so off on ATFR, but at that time GiGi had probably already slipped into his DM's. . Jmo
I have no doubt he was trying to be a good guy (who also made himself look good in the process). I saw their connection differently than you but we all see things differently and that’s ok. My point is that his recent behavior feels a little jarring in light of his previous behavior. All IMO

Yeah, I have no idea if it'll help or hurt his chances. I guess if anything, him being friendly with GiGi Hadid will up his SM presence even more. I really think the show dropped the ball trying to manipulate the ending they wanted on ATFR after Hannah's broken engagement. I really don't think Hannah and Tyler have been in communication and he was not expecting her to ask him out. Sure, he could have said no, but did he really want to reject Hannah on live television? He knew he was screwed if he answered either way. He probably does want to catch up with Hannah as he does care for her and they have a lot to decompress about. I think the show just looks like fools having to backtrack their narrative that Hannah and Tyler are a couple, when they are just friends trying to take it day by day.jojo47 wrote:dee wrote:Not sure ABC is necessarily upset at all? I'm sure CH and tptb are not pleased as they couldn't manipulate Tyler into playing their games. It is premiere week for BIP... but what are the headlines all talking about? Definitely not this new show, contestants, or storylines. I don't remember a time when an F2 has generated so much press and buzz towards a show. I don't even think it's bad press as he is doing nothing wrong. I think ABC loves all this attention and would be stupid to not consider him for DWTS (doesn't mean he'll get it). I for one, am hoping they cast both Tyler and Hannahjojo47 wrote:I’m curious to know how upset ABC actually is with Tyler at the moment, if at all. If the network (vs just CH personally) isn’t happy, his potential DWTS opportunity could be in jeopardy. That’s how they work IMO.
@dee Your points are all very good, as ABC has to love the attention, as you state. But I am curious to see when this all settles what decisions the network makes. I’ve thought for a long time that Tyler would be a strong candidate for DWTS & ABC would be foolish to forego his popularity. Tyler has indicated he’d like to do the show. Hannah has also indicated she’d like to do DWTS. Casting them both should be a no-brainer for ABC. But if there’s only room for one of them, where will the chips fall & does Tyler’s recent decisions help or hurt him?
I think DWTS will get great ratings if they both are cast. I'm sure the show will continue to push for a possible reunion on there as well. Who knows, could you imagine if GiGi Hadid was in the audience?

@mbl Serious question. How do you think Tyler should've handled Tuesday on? Should he have decline Hannah on tv? Should he have said yes to Hannah but declined her invitation to her place? Should he have left her place in the middle of the night, instead, or whenever they finished talking? Or do you honestly think he should've cancelled his date with Gigi that has probably been planned for a while given her schedule?

I think Tyler sunk his chances at DWTS or anything ABC related, but that’s just me.
As for Hannah, I hope she kills it on DWTS!

That makes sense to me ... after all, these families have been through the Bachelorette experience along with their kids. Shared experiences can result in friendly communication via social media IMHO ...

I believe he is a good man and it bothered him. Should he have stayed quiet like Jed/Peter? There was literally no other guy from her season stepping up for her. It sounds like you're saying Tyler should've never expressed support for Hannah? His support did not equal "let's hop back in a committed relationship." I still remember how stressed and sad he looked in those ig videos when the Jed news first broke. He was visibly bothered and sad. And Hannah was getting attacked about Luke and the windmill and being stupid. I think he just flew into action because he cares. Doesn't mean his heart was ready to jump back into a relationship with her. JMO
I literally never said he shouldn’t have, not sure where you read that. I said that there was some degree of risk to it and that viewers could be confused. The bottom line here to me is that Hannah isn’t a horrible person and letting Gigi’s PR machine take control doesn’t seem like the nicest thing to do when it affects the woman you were so supportive of a few days ago IMO.
Now Tyler has NO control over Gigi much like he and Hannah have none over ABC. IA he stepped into another whirlwind and is in over his head with Gigi. I'm not sure what he can do to stop Gigi from leaking stuff and calling the paps. She's not going to stop. That's the only reason she's in this relationship. IMO
I’m going to wait and see what happens. Gigi is very smart, very articulate, quite accomplished and beautiful and connected but Tyler is a unicorn. There aren’t very many educated, caring, young, straight, beautiful, genuine men in her world. IMO she could quite genuinely be fascinated by him. Regardless, she’s a good friend and contact for him. If it turns out they have an affair, he is due one. One serious girlfriend plus Hannah is not much of a resume. I lmao at CH implying Tyler might not be Bachelor material. He’s tooooo goood for your show, Chris!!!
All IMO.

Ofc I don’t see how he leaves that stage declining Hannah’s invite. However. He could have either:
1. Made it clear to her, and us the audience in podcasts and such that it was just a friends thing and he’s moved on. I don’t think anyone, including Hannah would fault him.
2. Meet with Hannah, but give her closure she needs on that “date.” In public IG or whatever, make it clear where you are at with Hannah. Supportive friend, the end.
3. Alternatively, don’t go out with Gigi this week.
What he is doing? This half in/half out $hit? It’s a terrible, terrible look. As he stands, he’s ruined his entire brand of respecting women and blah, blah, he’s so “woke.” He’s trying to have it both ways! Date Gigi while keeping Hannah kind of half out there as a maybe backup. It’s awful and I’m losing so much respect so fast. Pick one or the other, but trying to have both is so off brand it’s jarring and disgusting. I feel duped, honestly. And this doesn’t even touch on his gross friend’s disrespectful IG stories. Everything about this is in poor taste. Like incredibly so.

albean99 wrote:I think a lot of people liked the idea that Hannah and Tyler could be together partly because it was the only romantic storyline by the end of her season. It wasn't such a stretch because he was in the f2 and said he was ready to propose but it's clear that neither are really ready to settle down at this time, imo. I don't think this is Tyler's or Hannah's fault. It's just what it is.
I'm reasonably certain that Tyler wasn't interested in being TB but it seems that he's going to have no shortage of dates if that's what he wants. I'm sure Hannah wil be disappointed that it's not happening the way she hoped but she'll be fine. All JMO.
Yes! Tyler doesn't need to be the bachelor. He is more popular than past bachelors. He has new opportunities coming in. If he wants to date Hannah and/or Gigi or others and is not ready to settle down, it would be fake of him to agree to be the bachelor. Why should he tie himself up for 2 months of his life with no contact to the outside world and deal with being away from family and his real life again and deal with more new drama from contestants, if he wants to dare other people?

1. I think he did this.
2. We don't really know what he told Hannah. But I'm guessing that he wants to take it a day at a time AND he told her about Gigi because of the ig video yesterday. Should he have cut her off completely? Hannah can cut ties with him if friendship isn't good enough. I would feel differently if Hannah wasn't well aware of Gigi. We all are. Hannah can tell Tyler she doesn't want to be friends anymore.
3. I'm 100% the date with Gigi was on the books. Regular dudes with no job commitment really don't have a good reason to reschedule a date with an A lister. And I'm not sure why he should prioritize his relationship with Hannah over his with Gigi's. She a friend but also an ex.
If casually dating is disgusting to you, I really don't know what to say. Do you believe he should just commit to Gigi (a woman he barely knows) or Hannah (a woman who broke up with him two months ago) I'm not sure why he can't be friends with and get to know them both in the real world. It's hard for me to see the problem with his actions. He is so clearly single and behaving as such. JMO
