The important ingredient to take it to the next level.   Sometimes there’s no rhyme or reason to why we feel what we feel ... it just happens.   Arie chose an awesome girl to n Becca ...she’s the one Id have tried to set him up with ...she just isn’t the one that he feels that certain something with.   No bad people here ... just human emotions in action.  I feel bad for Becca, but better he ended as soon as he did, going through the motions just to get through the taping of the ATFR and pretend to be happy would be worse.

Just a thought about his parents saying he has a type . Maybe they mean younger women who saw him on Emily’s season and had a celebrity crush on him. Sydney did and there’s pictorial evidence that Lauren might have too. Jmo

I'm sorry but I can't get past Lauren's lack of inflection while talking and how bland she comes across to me. Maybe there's a great personality down there somewhere that either they didn't show or doesn't appear on tv.

Arie's a big boy. He could say something like "I'm extremely happy with how things turned out but both of the f2 have great qualities and it made things very difficult this season. I could have handled things better at times but now hope that we can all move on and be happy." There's a ton of things he could have said or done to show that he has a heart and still be happy about the final outcome. JMO

Just my own opinion and observation but the Lauren-on-TV always looks "put off" to me and I find it difficult to warm up to her because of this perception. Feel like TPTB really messed things up when they had to start adjusting their story line and digging up footage to depict it.

Just watched a fan video of Arie and Lauren.  In my opinion, in it, Lauren looks vibrant, open and happy and her affect is anything but flat or dull.  While I have certainly seen a guarded/worried/fearful facial expression, I don't have the same opinion as many that her facial expression the majority of the season has been expression-less

I don’t find Lauren emotionless. Rather I think her resting expression is serious to stern. I don’t think that means she is either of those. We used to comment on Andi’s testing b**** face. For Lauren, she just has a more serious countenance. 

I don’t think it equates to emotions or if she is fun, just her natural look. JMO.

I had a great workshop with three incredible female leaders in December. They were equally enthusiastic and supportive of the workshop, but their three resting facial expressions were all very different. I could go along with you that during the season Lauren's resting face was more serious. Based, however, on comments made on her social media by people who know her, that doesn't seem to be the case with her real world countenance. Further, I just read somewhere that Sienna said that up until Lauren's first one-on-one she was much more outgoing and light-hearted; after that, she seemed to withdraw and become much quiet which Sienna attributed to Lauren's growing feelings for Arie. If that is the case, her serious countenance was congruent and emblematic with the seriousness in which she was approaching her relationship with Arie. Given that, not too surprising that she would want to "fight" for it when she was given the opportunity post-season.

The thing I don't like about Becca is she talks too much, has a potty mouth. More and more I'm beginning to see that other side (hidden) of her.

@umngirl Thank you for this. Becca and Arie’s relationship seem so real . He mentioned how she’s the type that can be patient with him regarding all the little fangirls that might want to hang around Arie per his mom. This makes me think even more that that’s Arie’s type and calling card. Not just being a racer, but also a racer who was on TBette and now TBach. Just happy it won’t be Becca’s fate regarding this.

Exactly the same for me. Even from the beginning with the spoiler she was F1, I was scratching my head on that one.

ETA:  Becca has a great point in this clip, IMO.  I think it takes a lot of patience to be a race car spouse, or any athelete’s spouse, male or female.
