Occam’s razer people.
Ha! You are so right. I've been screaming Occam's Razor for weeks now but then went down the rabbit hole in the last few days! I just can't wait for all the details to start rolling out! Only hours now...

Yeah - it would explain a lot. The closest I can come to providing this is by drawing attention to Section III paragraph C of Trista's contract (that's a hot link) in which they talk about a Reunion episode. (IMO in more modern contracts this is called "Special Episodes"). If you follow that link it says that the show has the exclusive right film or video tape any such episode produced within 3 years of the premier air date, for no additional compensation. The participant agrees to appear (if required by the producer), and all other terms of the contract apply to any reunion / special episode as though it was part of the original show.
So IMO Arie would not be entitled to anything extra though this doesn't mean that something either was or wasn't offered. But since this clause makes no mention of the fact that the participant can deny their participation, it's not an option. If the show wants it - the participant has to appear - given only consideration for a 30 day notification that the show requires them to appear.North wrote:'cause Arie could've just broken up with Becca and TPTB still filmed the reunion with Lauren.
But IMO contractually that isn't Arie's decision to make - it's the show's and only the show's decision. IMO (and IIRC) on Jason's season the "real" breakup with Melissa happened off camera but they both still had to appear and "recreate" it several weeks after it really happened.
Yup and that could've happened with Becca and Arie too -- the original break-up off camera (saving Becca that public humiliation) and a re-creation, for the public on screen and maybe during the ATFR. Then a one-night special highlighting the reunion with Lauren. All imo.

Or, Arie remembered how fast he pounced on Courtney after she broke up with Ben and got worried and jealous and did a knee jerk.
Imo

In that case, he could've gone on the show as a suitor. That would've been amazing! And maybe the old Arie would've appeared? I believe it was Millsy who said Arie was probably better suited as a contestant pursuing the lead rather than the lead being pursued.

I doubt he was considered by ABC, and I don’t think he wanted to do it. He’ll be racing twice, in April and May, on the SuperTrucks circuit, I think.
DWTS is going with a very short (4 week) season with only ten athletes as contestants. It makes me wonder what ABC will do with the gap between when DWTS ends and the Bachelorette normally begins.

American Idol. I laid it all out in a post earlier in this thread.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I could have sworn Kaitlyn said she wasn't paid because of her screw up showing Shawn there in bed with her and the rules she refused to follow during season (mics off with no producers present/time alone with Shawn) I know Arie had an oops but Becca's face was never shown.

Oh, god. Hopefully he wasn't that big of an idiot to believe that. I mean, I literally can't imagine anyone with their head on straight thinking that the show would give Lauren the lead. IMO.
