Re: Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - Episodes - Feb 26 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
I find it incredible how self-righteous RS seems right now. You can also tell who his sources are, imo. RS is just relishing in all of this. For one, he has never liked 'he who is not Peter', so I really don't care about his hyperbole. You can always tell who he's talking to, who's giving him dirt, and who he's defending. Enough about that.
IMO, I think Arie is a good person, with a good heart. I think he uses poor judgement, but tries to do the best that he can. I don't think he has any malice in him. If he is guilty of anything is that he is like most men, thick as a brick. Meaning, they don't over-think anything, and are totally oblivious to the consequences of their actions, because they are clueless.
What I get from all of this. Something seems disingenuous about Ross showing up. Becca is going to be the biggest bachelorette star of this decade. Arie finally, realized that he made the wrong decision, but went about it entirely wrong on how to make things right. Obviously he needed to get 'approval' from tptb, as to what, and how things were going to transpire. If I understand correctly, he and Lauren are now allegedly engaged, and she will be moving to Arizona to be with Arie. To me this speaks volumes. In the end, I hope in the time of healing for everyone involved, that every one has their own happy ending.

Maybe Becca responded that way because that is what he did in the past. If their relationship was an off-and-on relationship, it very well could be that when she was at the point of moving on, he might have pulled her back in no matter how long they had been apart.
IMO, he is another one that likes the chase. He ran right down to Peru to get her back but for the past year she's been where she's always been in MN. He knew where she was. He could have contacted her at any time. Nope, he waits until she's ready to move on with another guy and bam... she is his girl and he is the one to propose to her.
I've seen relationships like that and yes, they sometimes have gone on for many years.

And for many of those guys, there is a girl who is constantly doing things to try to make them jealous, get their attention, bring them to heel, whatever you want to call it and as soon as he comes running, they welcome them back. Over and over and over....

Yes it can be a vicious cycle on both ends.
My point was that maybe Becca wised up and broke the cycle. In the long run, we do not know what their relationship entailed, that was between them. I'm just saying that there can be another reason for what we saw.
I like both girls and I wish to heck they both would run away from Arie and this franchise.

Every Bachelor should just be like Brad 1.0. No ILY, no proposal, no pick. It's just a waste of time getting invested in any of the Bachelor relationships.
Sad but true.
Personally, I think I'm at the point where I just have no hope for Bachelor couples working out. In fact, I'm shocked that even one Bachelor couple has been able to make a relationship work. I just don't understand how any woman can be genuinely okay with watching their fiance make-out with a bunch of other woman and then, post-show, be simply known to the world as the male lead's "fiance" until the inevitable break-up occurs. Unfortunately, this is just the nature of the beast and in my opinion, it doesn't matter how amazing the guy is, I think that any woman with a pulse would struggle under these circumstances especially in this modern day and age where feminism is so prominent in the cultural landscape. Of course, given that The Bachelor is probably one of the most misogynistic shows on television due to its format, it's no surprise that it has such a low success rate in the long-lasting love department. At this point, I think that the true "winner" of The Bachelor is the person who becomes the Bachelorette because not only will they have 25-30 guys fighting over her but she won't have to deal with the inevitable angst that comes with living in a man's shadow after the show is over. Clearly, the fact that the Bachelorette has a relatively high success rate says something about the consequences of that gender role-reversal. In others words, if Becca does become the next Bachelorette then she more than dodged a bullet with Arie. I think she's going to be just fine.

It has been somewhat hard for me to watch this season. I was going in with an open mind and interested to see what he could bring to the table, but in the end I am just bored and Arie just comes across as questionable & sleazy / greasy IMO. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Lauren reminds me of an even more blander version of Lauren Bushnell. Yawnsville.
If they're truly in love, then good for them. Doesn't mean I have to care for the two - and I don't.
Kendall is somewhat weird/eccentric, but I like her. Her boot was a blessing in disguise - I'd be telling her to run for the hills. She has dodged a bullet IMO.
This season cannot end soon enough. Bring on the Bachelorette.

I agree with a lot of what Sharleen wrote above. I also wonder, even though she would deny it, if she gets spoiled. JMO IMO it would be almost impossible for her to not be and her blogs etc are great PR for the show.
No good deed goes unpunished.

She admitted that she usually does get spoiled, but she's not this season. RS says he's been begging to tell her how it ends and she's adamant she doesn't want to know. She did his podcast and I think it was clear she didn't know.

I don’t believe it either-she says she’s unspoiled but she “likes” Becca’s IG posts. If she watches her posts I don’t believe she is unspoiled. JMO
Sharleen appears rather skilled at ‘reading between the lines.”
