Exactly! I learned that a long time ago. They want that mystery right up till that first limo arrives and that leg sticks out.

Agree with you including that he has genuine feelings for Becca. And I think that at that point he trusted his feelings more for Becca than he did Lauren (hence, his description of her as "solid") I think we have been given hints as to what led him to choose Becca initially. As GA pointed out, in Millsy's podcast he spoke of Arie's frustration in not being able to articulate what it was about Lauren that led to him falling in love. For someone whom we have heard say several times that his biggest fear was choosing the wrong person, seems to me that Arie would be very intentional in trying to weigh out the pros and cons of choosing each woman and in trying to balance make the best heart and mind decision. He very easily could have determined that having a handle on the "why" of his love for Lauren could have fostered the fear that the love he was feeling for her would not endure. I think I am in the minority as I believe Arie does want to find the one with whom he can share his life. Appears he felt initially he could do that with Becca. He was likely very confused when post-season he found himself not being able to shake his feelings and thoughts about Lauren and perhaps it was then he realized that the love he had for her was lasting and enduring.

Why did Becca say to her ex “ I knew you were going to do this? honestly”. His reply was “I know you did.”

How did she know?? Did she contact him when home on HTDs ..
Even by phone to tell him? Somethings fishy about this “surprise” visit. Arie seems to be only one not in on it ... but Becca probably was. Could this be what started the switch ... Arie finding out more about the situation? Hmmmmm....

Maybe the ex played a bigger part in the ATFR whether really being involved or just his ghost of a presence being involved.

I think when she said that ‘i knew you were going to do this’, she means that hes gonna do something stupid to mess with her feelings. And he proved her right. He seemed possessive and narcissist.

If they broke up within the last 4 -6 months maybe I could see her suspecting he would do that. However if they broke up a year ago, I can't believe they had no contact at all, and for him to suddenly show up, and she still "knew" it? So did he. How did he know, she knew? Too many knew's, better than too many likes.

I brought that up in another thread--her saying she knew he was going to do this. After just over a year apart with NO contact, you KNEW he was going to go half way around the world to come see you? Not buying that at all!

Also, RE Lauren. Does anyone have the episode taped that can go back and listen when he told Lauren this was going to get harder before it gets easier. Immediately after that, I swear he said "But we both know this is over." Can anyone confirm this? Please? It was kind of quiet and most might not have heard it but my husband is deaf in 1 ear and keeps the TV volume almost all the way up so it was easier for me to hear that probably than others.

Oh 1 more thing, I think the tent in the desert was pretty romantic. Would I have preferred the room with the hot tub/pool, a flushing toilet, and a shower? Absolutely!

At the 37:00 mark, Arie says it is going to get harder before it gets easier.  He said he wants her to feel like it's all worth it.

Can someone with a recording look back to when Becca leaves the tent the morning after the FS date? It was mentioned above that she was the only one who had makeup on the morning after. I do not think she had any makeup on when she was talking to Arie. SC anyone? I remember thinking when Russ showed up "Why would she put makeup on and fix her hair but NOT take a shower or change clothes after spending the night in the desert?" I was thinking to myself "She had to have sand in/on those clothes and they would have had to go first thing." OR they filmed the scene with Russ BEFORE the FS?
