Atfr should be interesting...

I think ATFR will be pretty tame. If Peter is F2 he's shown himself to be very respectful of Rachel thus far in filming. He seems like a well mannered guy and will not be used to cause drama on the show. IMO, he also is aware of his image and he'll keep how he comes across in mind too. I actually think throughout this process he cared about her very much and that will carry to the ATFR. IMO, Rachel cared about him too and if she knows she hurt him she won't be cold to him. I don't see an Andi and Nick thing happening here.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the picture of Peter's HTD where they're in a bar and Rachel is with his family or friends? I've been looking everywhere.

I hope so but I could see Rachel feeling like she would have to defend her relationship because f2 is a fan favorite & people have strong opinions about Bryan. I wonder if all of that will be addressed.

ITA! Personally, I still don't understand why this season everyone is expected to only fan certain people or be criticized that they are micro-analyzing / having a bias / or that their analysis is not intelligent. It's nothing different than what happens every season. The ones who are the likely F1s and the next potential leads have always been under the microscope till the end of their season IMO after which their 15 mins are deemed over and mostly everyone moves on to the next bunch. Peter is no exception IMO and why he is expected to be treated differently baffles me.  

I don't see a problem with sharing my thoughts on him (within the rules) which might be negative in nature here. I shouldn't have to censor myself coz others can't handle what I might have to say about their favorite. I like debates and I have zero problems if someone comes back with their interpretation and we can have a respectful discussion. But accusing someone of having a bias/lacking intelligence in their interpretations just coz you don't see things the way they see is going for the low hanging fruit to censor/police someone else IMO.

I honestly don't see how people are making him act to higher standards. In the same regard, he isn't a special snowflake that everyone has to love.

O.k so this is my first season watching this show while commenting and am new to this site so I have no idea what other people have said about previous seasons' contestants. I am not calling anyone at all unintelligent. I was just giving my opinion and am not trying to censor anyone. **EDIT** Like I said it didn't make sense to me as I thought this was sleuthing to see if he was f1 or 2. Two separate things though. It's human nature. IMO. Sometimes I am wondering if I am watching the same shoe/reading the same sm as others, because our interpretations are so different, or even opposite!  It could be fun but it could be frustrating, depending who your fav is, or how serious you take this show. Imo.

sdmom, this is so true for me.  I watch on West Coast time but can't resist checking in here beforehand.  It never ceases to amaze me and has for EVERY season I have watched and posted, that what I see at 8pm PST  IMO never
matches (good/bad/indifferent) what I read.  It is just human nature that we all see everything through our own prism of experiences and biases. JMO (and bias )

I can't even read the episode thread the night it airs because the comments 'taint' what I see when I finally watch 3 hours later. Case in point - this past week with Peter (trying to stay on topic in this thread!) - read that he had his hands clasped when kissing her on the balcony and the interpretation that he is so cold and reserved. Read that Rachel had to ask Peter to kiss him because he's so remote in the last episode - when Rachel was sitting with her legs over his and he had his hand on her leg. And closed captioning said "I was going to lean in to you but you did it first".

I am Team Rachel but I feel many posters are in this Peter thread to offer rebuttal to what Peter's fans see and comment on. My favorite threads are those from he former contestants a la Alex who use their SM platform to praise Rachel as a really fine young woman. Or the comment by Dean on IG about how opening up to Rachel began his healing process from not talking about his mom's death. These examples are concrete real life POSITIVE comments which I would like to see more of.

I don't post much anymore for several of the reasons posted above, but to add support to the thread, I still think Peter is F1.
