Peter Kraus - Bachelorette 13 - **Sleuthing Spoilers** - #7

I'm new here so bare with me but I dont really understand how liking posts means something. I like posts to acknowledge that I've seen it. I don't get how it means he's trolling or being phony or anything. Maybe he sees it the way I do. I do remember he responded to one post I believe he liked saying "yes,thank you" or something similar. If he definitely agrees/disagrees with that person's argument he'll probably write a response to them Imo. Just giving a different perspective. All jmo

There has been several posts about Peter being "camera ready" just because he's a "model". I stated my opinion that I think that's stereotyping him because he's not just a model he's a human being with feelings just like every other person. I personally don't think I need to go to the fan forum just because I said that. Isn't this the general sleuthing discussion for Peter?

I have to admit sm just makes me this season but I enjoy reading all different opinions from different perspectives on this forum. No matter Peter's trolling or not, I think he's having fun and I hope Bryan, Eric, Rachel all have fun on sm. Yes it's sometimes difficult for sleuthers but to me, it's ultimately entertainment. I hate to see non f1 heartbroken and sad weeks after filming, so if they are just trying to have fun on sm, I am ok. Jmo.
That being said, I am very interested to see their whereabouts next weekend.

It maybe your opinion that stereotypes are being used. I do not believe many would consider that term applicable, however that is me.
The reason I state this is again we have specific site rules referencing labeling and certain word usage.
Personally being camera ready or being a model is not offensive to me. That's just me.

It's all a matter of different opinions and everyone see's thing differently depending on what posts he is liking. He may very well want to just acknowledge that he's seen it, but when the post includes a little bit of slight shade, opinion's can change or they won't. It all depends on how you see it.

Yeah, I haven't said anything because I don't have an opinion yet on Peter, but boy do I love reading everyone else's opinions. It took me hours to get through this thread (off and on because I do have a life ) and I loved every minute. Cheers guys!

I agree with you that there are different reasons for "liking" things. Different people use SM differently. Some don't like anything unless they really really love it, some like practically everything on their timeline and every comment directed at them. If people take the time to write nice comments on my IG I usually like them if I don't feel like replying just because I think it's polite to acknowledge them. Peter might've just been raised right (IMO) and he feels he should acknowledge it when people take the time to defend him or his friends. I also don't think you need to like and agree with every single word, as long as the general sentiment is something you find positive. He might be reading the comments quickly and not even notice one sentence in the middle that could be read as shady/spoilery/whatever. Hard to know because I'm not him. In any case, I can't say he has issues because of SM usage while I spend hours a day "stalking" and talking about these people I don't even know. If anyone's got issues here, it's me. JMOAA.

I came across Peter's pictures when he was modeling... wow... honestly? wow. calvin klein alike or italien models. he is a beautiful man. jmo

That said, this has been a very entertaining thread, to say the least.

@mindless I agree with you. I will often like posts on my timeline as a thank you for acknowledging whether it be a photo etc.
I do the same thing here on our forum. Seriously. I would say 3 out of 4 posts I hit the like button. Sometimes I don't agree with the entire post, but maybe a lot of it. I don't scrutinize that much and appreciate the sharing of opinions.

Oh and I must add, when I'm liking things it doesn't even occur to me that some third party might see it. Obviously I know it's possible for people to see what I'm liking, but it's the furthest thing from my mind when I hit that like button. That's why I find it a bit peculiar how often it's assumed that these people are trying to send a message through their SM likes. I know my own likes are only meant to send a message to one person, and that's the person whose comment/post I'm liking. It's a one-click way of saying "Thank you" or "Nice pic/post". It's not an "I agree and I want everyone to know I agree" directed at some third party, let alone all my followers. I would honestly find it very odd if someone took it like that and thought I was full of myself for liking compliments directed at me.

I'm not saying SM likes can't give some insight into what's going on in someone's mind, they definitely can, but I don't think their main purpose is to send messages to the general public. Perhaps in some rare cases with some very savvy individuals, but it's not usually my first assumption. JMO.

I am very un-savvy with social media. I choose to be that way. I just don't care about it all that much. It serves my purposes just fine.
