What a loser. He was way too young and immature to be the bachelor but the show hasn't had a lot of success with the older guys either, so WTF do I know?

IMO, Ben didn't have an issue with the SAHM thing. He always seemed super supportive of her blog. If I were Ben I'd be very annoyed with her taking off every week.

When he picked Lauren, and proposed twice, she was still very much a flight attendant, she would've been taking off all the time for that job too. He also regularly takes off for his own job.

I still see no reason why Ben's ex would follow Lauren's ex. Lauren never did anything to her for her to want to exchange stories with her ex. And now, right after the break up she's becoming active on Ben's ig. She also knows people are following her actions on sm. Very shady, IMO.

Imo Ben and Lauren never had a chance because Ben was never truly invested in the relationship. Ben cares first and formost about Ben. IMO Ben see's himself as some saintly humble servant of God and yet he immerses himself in promoting a decidedly secular podcast. Fortunately Ben's ego and self promotion are showing his true colors and the phony Ben/10 facade is slipping away. IMO Ben is very calculated and hypocritical.

As far as Lauren taking off all the time, I don't blame her. I've said this before, it was over and she had to continue playing the game until the announcement. The last place you want to be is with your SO when you know it's over. Been there done that, and I too partied like it was 1999, (RIP Prince) and it really was.

Ben is the perfect example of how learning how things are supposed to be doesn't mean that he's practicing it. imo I really honestly believe Ben knows what the right thing is. e.g. say if a guy friend of his asked him for advice on what to do about telling two girls he's dating that he loves them or if he should not till he figures it out -- I'm almost certain Ben would give that guy friend the perfect advice - to do what he thinks would be in the women's best interests to minimize hurt. the issue is that he knows the theory imo but imo hasn't lived the life lessons himself/making mistakes to really embody what he preaches in confusing and murky difficult situations (which relationships have a lot of). Well...so now he's made several mistakes on tv -- hope he learns from it. which comes to my next point...

I also think he has a very real case with lacking self-awareness (a topic that's come up about some of the younger ppl on this show i.e. Andi and also the older ppl in the show e.g. this is currently a topic in the threads discussing Rachel and one of her contestants above 30) 

I think Ben sincerely means well but for all intents and purposes he lacks the self-awareness #1 and the kind of wisdom one earns from experience #2 and therefore lacks the maturity to handle confusing situations and moral grey-areas effectively. I also think him being an only child might contribute to his behavior since he didn't have to handle confusing relationship issues dealing with siblings. Due to his sincere intentions imo, I really hope someone *edit* advises him to go to relationship therapy. imo it'd do him a lot of good.

Shaelin and Ben have been following each on IG for a long time, Ben rarely likes her posts, she likes his kind of often but she has a boyfriend anyways. I'm confused as to where the shadiness and manipulation from Ben comes in??

It would mean, IMO, that everyone after they broke up was just a placeholder for Shaelin, and as soon as she'd be ready to get back together, he'd jump through hoops to get to her. And she's the one acting shady, with following Lauren's ex, and commenting on Ben's insta right after Lauren and Ben broke up. She absolutely has his phone number, but feels the need to comment in public. Jmo
