IMO, Mrs. Higgins was probably just out there to spend Mother's Day weekend with her only child.

He looks so happy in that photo considering the circumstances.  .

Chris Harrison said what a lot of us here have been saying for months. The continuation of their own television show kind of halted their growth in the normal world. It's difficult to spend most of your relationship making television shows and then transferring over to the real world. JMO

I see nothing wrong with his mom being there for him. Good, that he's close with his family. Lauren is/was spending time with her sister, and I love that. Jmo.

I wish them both the best. While both will and should persue their passions, I can't blame Ben for not giving up a real world job to go live off his fame. If that was an issue, then to me it shows they weren't meant to be. That is okay and nothing wrong by either of them.

The postponing the wedding was okay, but yes he should have told her privately. I think it is far worse to enter a life long commitment with fears, doubts or hesitations. She deserved the respect of being told in private, but long term I believe she will come to appreciate that he did not marry her.

@stuckinsc Imo, and this is only mho, Ben really gave up nothing for this relationship. Imo most of the things we're done his way, or they became an issue. Look where he's now, nothing has changed for him from his pre Bach life. He has his house, where he continues to live, in Denver, his old job, his friends, his hobbies etc. Whereas Lauren moved from LA to Denver, left her home, lost her job, is moving again, having to look for a new home. She saw her friends far less than Ben saw his etc. He didn't agree to get a dog, nothing. Imo their personalities were wrong for each other, but also, the whole set up of the relationship was wrong, where Lauren did, and moved and did some more, and Ben didn't. Jmo.

There break up comes just in time for BIP. Ben can take Chris spot
