Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #8

What came first? Lauren's partying and endless trips or Ben's HEA blindside and his inability to compromise in general? IMO the former was a result of the latter.

Lauren loves travelling , she has always said that. And she has been to many places before she even came to the bachelor like Europe, Asia and many places within the country . And being a flight attendant ,it gave her more chances to travel and seems like that was something she really enjoys doing . Whereas on the other hand, I don't think Ben is a traveller or enjoys exploring new places . He may have enjoyed the perks while on the bachelor but I feel like that's not his calling . IMO , this is also one of the clashes they had .JMO

Excellent article! Thanks for sharing. I think the points raised here can apply to any Bach couple coming out. These are the points that hit home for me:

1. "The strongest couples that I have seen have been couples who had forged their own identities independently of one another."

2. "Her image became dependent on her relationship with Ben... the problem with this is that her work became her love life.”

3. "If a couple cannot embrace different elements of each others personalities, it will inevitably cause resentment."

4. "Sharing a sense of humor is the number one most important thing to a lasting relationship."

Indeed. The writing was on the wall since HEA. Even though I hoped they could still make it work, that show really killed any illusions I had about them being a perfect match. It was so awkward IMO, like watching two strangers at times. Love is not enough if it's just brain chemistry and not based on friendship and acceptance. JMO.

IMHO Lauren does not challenge Ben. He needs a woman who will challenge him not give into his one side idea of a wife or life. I've went and watch his season on line and I saw someone who would have been better for him and would have challenge him to be a better person. It is like he want the stepford life. That is the 18th century if you asked me. IMHO

I'm pretty sure we will get a Ben 2.o season.
