It's Julia's weekly podcast with Robert Mills. Nick was the special guest this week. They talk about it around 36.

Not this summer, but if Lauren is still single next summer I can *maybe* see her doing BIP. Personally I think there is a better chance she finds someone off screen pretty quickly here and settles down Nikki F. or Whitney style. JMO.
Give Ben some time to heal... but no doubt to me he'd be The Bachelor again in a heartbeat Brad Womack style. I think the show would take him back even faster than he'd consent... if they ever got in a situation like when they tapped into Brad or Nick and the previous Ette season is all duds or they all turn down the offer.
One thing I'll say for Ben... he made a good season (to me anyway). He came off sincere, was a good conversationalist, was outwardly caring and compassionate to his women. Plus he's totally that generic type that lots of women go for. You can see him with lots of different types, making that work. Unlike say a Chris Soules, or Nick, or even a Juan Pablo that needs a very specific kind of woman to make that work, if that makes sense.

I know it seems silly, but social media is always so telling with the people from this franchise. I just went to Ben's twitter for the first time in a while and saw that he liked this tweet and then posted the other:
@greglaurie: Don’t look back. Press on, even when it gets hard.
https://twitter.com/benhiggi/status/862284995842502656
It's pretty much confirmed for me at this point.

What I wouldn't give for a BIP intro with the Brady Bunch music and squared theme boxes with Ben in the middle box and all the other contestants in boxes looking around at each other. Wishful thinking.

It shows his indecisiveness IMO, not well thought out and pretty embarrassing if you ask me. Then he does HEA. I'd say he put up some red flags, not the least of which was deciding to tell two women you loved them, repeatedly, on national television. Maybe Lauren dodged a bullet. Just saying - as a whole, the last year was pretty messy. IMO
If Im not mistaken , Ben had to pull himself out of the politics he was running on a republican ticket & needless to say that didn't go over well with the liberal producers, I think they threatened him that he wouldn't be able to do the TV show if he remained in politics. back then I read the article somewhere on social media.

The most mind boggling and chitty thing that Ben did during that intense therapy session was the mind game he was playing . Let alone Lauren , most probably the viewers were confused too. He calls off the wedding because he believed they still didn't know each other well enough to walk down the aisle and he could have simply stopped there , but nope the perfect Ben had to give another of his false hope to Lauren about how he won't ever let her go and he will definitely be her husband blah blah blah. At one hand he is not ready because they still have a lot to learn about each other and on other hand he knows she was the one. Hello, dude , if you dont know Lauren well enough than how can you promise her and be sure that you will be her husband . That was the cruelest thing he could do . If it was me , I would have dumped his azz right there and then.

Exactly. He was talking out of both sides of his a$$ and trying to have it both ways.

That bothered me too! I honestly don't think he even realises what he's saying half the time. He's such a people-pleaser he'll say what he thinks the other person wants to hear, even when it makes no sense and there's no real meaning behind it. Yes, I can understand wanting to wait so that you know each other through and through when making your vows, because it's more meaningful that way, but then don't make these OTT declarations at the same time. If you 100% mean those, then wedding vows shouldn't be a problem either. It's confusing. JMO.

He's an only child mama's boy. I hope the show doesn't have him back again. He needs to be on his own, date some more women, and grow up a little. He is a great guy, but the fact that he told two women he loved them says to me he wasn't ready for marriage.

If they are really over. I'm kind of sad even though I don't really care for them. And while I find Lauren annoying at times, imo, I find it totally unfair that she gets the blame when there are two people in the relationship. I believe that both are equally to blame and both did or have issues that contributed for their relationship to be over (if they really are).
Having said that, I also don't agree with the "Lauren only partied when Ben called off the wedding" excuse. Imo, when you and you're significant other are having struggles, you don't act out. You either stay and work it out or you leave and move on. This only shows that it is not just Ben who isn't ready for marriage too, imo. Lauren too. When you're married and in a committed relationship, you don't act out and do immature things when the going gets tough.
I hope when they're both ready, they find a better fit for them.
All these are just my opinion.
ETA: Just because we know more of Lauren's immature acts doesn't mean Ben is the mature one or the one ready to get married, imo. This is the guy who never took responsibility to saying ILY to two women which ended up hurting his F1 and F2. Imo

They are both immature. Time to announce the split and move on.
